    The disappearing buttons is a bug.

    The X config is acting in a sane way -- it rather presents you with the actual resolution than a blured scale up, it would be good to have it as an option howerever.

    Do you know why you make the decisions you make? And I don't mean the "because it's the right thing" line. It doesn't seem random, but no one wants to think decision making is deterministic.

    I don't know about mobile phone prices in the USA, but I can speak about Latvia (small country, electronics usualy are more expensive here). I needed a phone and a cheap one, so I got a Siemens A55 for Ls 49, about $90. No strings attached and one year of warranty.

    Your analogy is not equivalent to this subject, whether or not you could get a patent for hotdog on stick over hotdog, I'm not sure...however, the idea of playing a console game while connected to THE INTERNET*, and implementing a voice communication system takes a just slightly larger inventive step.
