    To what is he referring? Is it Blizzard and bnetd? If so, why not say so? I'm confused.
    RMS doesn't want to promote specific proprietary software, so he avoids naming them.

    That's because Pepsi does no such thing, don't confuse image and fact. Pepsi embodies sugar water with caffeine.

    The stereotypical computer geek will rave about his new huge LCD monitor, and how he can now tweak it to astronomical resolutions. At the same time, he has a high-end video card so that he can play Quake 4 at enormously high resolutions. 1024x768? Blegh, that's for n00bs. Crank it up higher!
    Sounds more like the stereotypical gamer/overclocker.

    I would argue that the system of provision needs to be addressed in healthcare, and modeled after the more effective system of provision used for food.

    Ever heard of farming subsidies? They are usualy weird and backed by the goverment. Either way there are few countries that don't mess with food production to some extent.

    There is also the tiny problem of food beeing mostly replacable with cheaper food--you will not be choosing an appendicectomy when you need a coronary bypass.

    No actually "people" is completely correct. While casualties are admittedly pretty one sided, modern precision weapons and superior training actually reduce casualties on both sides of a conflict.
    Based on what? The last war that had modern precision weapons on both sides? Superior training is relative.
