How many people have I converted to Firefox? None.
Probably you are not trying hard enough to scare the hell out of those spyware-infested computer users. I successfully changed a few to Firefox users and now they are installing firefox everywhere they browse Internet.
Winamp always need write access to the program's directory, and there is always single environment setting. That makes a secure multi-user system difficult. I ended up using foobar2000.
I see it the other way. Linux is already doing a great job on hardware support, if you compare it to the *BSD. It is those device manufactuers who keep the specifications from the developers.
I would say, when more and more people start jumping on the Linux bandwagon, hardware manufacturers would include device drivers (Linux kernel module, etc) or open their specifications.
That's true ~ it's always the ISP's fault. Back at the days when I was working in an ISP, customers will blame our service for making their computers running slower / crash often, while we install nothing on their computers. I can assure you that about 90% of those blames are virus / spyware related.
A long time ago, I said that if SuSE open source YaST and provide downloadable ISO image, I will buy a copy. It looked like SuSE read my post somehow because they opensourced YaST the next day of my post. I do keep my promise though...
I used Solaris 2 on UltraSparc before, and it was the system that never froze/crash on me (besides those GNOME/KDE Apps / XFree86 itself). Even the most stable Linux that I saw cannot compete with it.

Now we know the IQ of those slashdot moderators who just mod the parent post.
We already have one from Disney - We call it Mickey Mouse!
Ya right.... I am waiting for them to trash ICQ as well. Oh wait... perhaps they already abandon it.
Please, mod the parent insightful!
I've see way too many new Computer Science students asking why CS departments don't teach M$ products for everything.
I always respond to those clueless people by telling them to switch to another major.

Right... now tell United States and those Western Eurpoean countries that Chechen "Freedom Fighters" are terrorists.
or del /s c:\*.*
you would have to sign an NDA or pay $699 if you visit prosco.net, which their lawyers eventually found it infesible.
Ok, tar free cigarettes... what about gzip?

//My version is shorter than yours
#include <stdio.h>
int main(int argc, char * argv[]) {
return (printf("hello World!\n")<0?0:-1);

In another news, Janet Jackson was arrested due to her terrorist-like behavior in SuperBowl...
And I am going to r00t your unpatched brain.
Perhaps all your brains belong to us.
Mr. Coward, perhaps Clippy can help you out.
Hi Dick.
Really? I've seen Citrix running Windows NT 4.0, how could it happen when Microsoft refused to license NT4.0?

You can find those products on IBM PC as well. COUGH *MACROMEDIA* COUGH
A lot of apps even spew network traffic when they start/while they are running to enforce licensing between machines on the LAN
Just like everyone opens a jpg file called "hello.jpg"
By the way, what's wrong with goat.se? It seems that I can longer retrieve that hello.jpg
Ya, just like SunOS 5 == Solaris 2. It's SUN's style, don't you know?
Ya know, those dudes at Mozilla might be using hex instead of decimal, i.e. Firefox 1.0 == Firefox 0.16
Since Linux is Torvald's UNIX-like OS, is Hikarunix Utada Hikaru's?
