    I would agree that the pricing of software was a headache to computer users in India, as well as China. Many people out there have extremely low salary, and buying a legal copy of Windows XP already cost a large portion of their salaries. In fact, I wish the poor computer users in those countries would turn their head to open source software - not for the price, but for the flexibility and freedom instead of paying all those bullshit overpriced upgrades.

    In Hong Kong, from the teenagers to people at their 50s, many people among these group have cellphones.
    Basically, I HATE cellphone because I lost my freedom.
    People expect to be able to reach me anytime simply because I can bring the damn thing everywhere.

    Seriously, I think Rambus MUST learn the rules to play in world of capitalism. Other manufacturers have their own freedom to choose whether to adopt Rambus standard, or boycott its shit because this crap doesn't generate the income that the manufacturers want.
    When will they learn the rule of playing games in a world of capitalism?

    I am a beginner in programming OpenGL stuff. In my opinion, the red book is easier to read comparing to Angel's book. It's just my personal experience. Just my 2 cents.

    Since most ./ers are using high speed internet connections, they forget that most people out there are still using dialups.

    I recalled at the time when I was using dialup, I didn't do windows update as often as I am right now. Someone may suggested to config windows to download updates automatically on schedule, but most people are gonna to think that it will slows their internet connection down.

    Seriously, while Windows (even the great XP) BSOD is quite common and Linux and Mac OS (9 & X) occasionally kernel panic / freeze, I have yet to see an Ultra Sparc running Solaris freezes / crashes.
    Somebody might argue that the stability that Solaris has is due to Sun's total control of the system architecture, but the occasional freezing of Mac OSX told me a different story.
    If SUN is going to run out of business, it is due to their business strategy, NOT their product quality.

    Seriously, a certain number of friends of mine composes and plays music. Some of them record their own pieces and encourage others to distribute them.

    I am one of these music OSS person, but I don't think many people will be interested in mine. :)

    Mr. AC, before you compare the situation of Hong Kong with Germany under Nazi, PLEASE do a good research before describing our situation as bad as you imagine. Don't base your idea purely the stereotype and a few words, just like people from other countries concluded that all Americans loving suing one another base on the McDonalds and SCO case, etc.
