Suppose the caucus did nominate Trump (I don't know how they work.) Surely in a national election, Trump would have no chance? The Democrats could nominate Joffrey Baratheon, and win by a landslide.
Personally I don't see why his motivations are hard to believe at all...
I see you have not used facebook, or know its history. When Larry and Sergey said "don't be evil",... well, if facebook had existed back then, they would be looking at Zuckerberg. But then, Gates seems to have turned away from evil, and not spent _all_ his billions on a hollowed-out volcano.
Submission is a beat-up, but TFA has some significance. I believe any indicator on a webcam should be hardware. Unhackable. It should be fed from the power supply to the sensor, which is not difficult to do. Otherwise, privacy is compromised. And trust. I use a webcam with a physical slide-down lens cover, because I don't trust the indicator LED, and this story has validated that.
Also, there is the issue of unnecessary standby power consuming gigawatts 24/7. You'd think a branch of "don't be evil" would be working to reduce that.
Yes, it is a simplification. But without the thirst for oil, we in the west would never have allowed ourselves to be dragged so deeply into their mess. Supporting the Shah, House of Saud, Mubarak, etc may actually be good (look how much worse it gets when they lose control) by does not make any friends for us among the oppressed populations. And it does not matter how much oil is under Syrian soil - is it not yet plain enough the connection between Syria, Iraq, and the rest of the middle east?
We train nearly twice as many people in Sub-Saharan Africa compared to the Middle east
You realise that article is about military training? "Here is how to use our weapons, and here is our catalogue."
I'm not saying the US should do more in Africa. Not until somebody figures out a way for foreign aid to do more good than harm there. So far all we have achieved is a population explosion.
I thought silencers were a hollywood invention, like figure-8 images from binoculars, visible laser beams and fireballs in space, or Black judges and police chiefs.
You did not look very hard - that article is talking about something very different, kids 3 to 11. Babies and toddlers need a lot more attention than older kids. It seems quite possible we are neglecting our babies, and overindulging older children who could be more independent, e.g. ride a bicycle, walk or catch a bus to school, friends and soccer instead of being chauffeured everywhere.
Which does raise an interesting point as to whether or not the effect is due to spending additional time with children or is merely a byproduct of the fact that those who can take time off to spend with their children are far more likely to be wealthy, which is more responsible for the outcome.
Is wealth a direct cause, or just another correlate?
More likely I think, parents who care enough to take time off work are going to be better parents.
Its a bit like parenting books. Whether they have useful advice or just repeat what you know, the sort of people who read parenting books are going to be better parents.
But what is a good parent? Other studies have found that kids growing up in a house with lots of books do better, independently of whether the parents read much to their kids. So much of what we used to think was parenting, turns out out looking more and more like genetics.
As long as they can pretend that the work serves some sort of educational purpose, they can use people as unpaid interns and get away with it.
Thats awful, and a good example of how the Corporation *do* rule America, far more than in other developed countries where such exploitation is illegal.
A TV season was ~27 episodes? Now, they have the audacity to call a dozen episodes a season. Somebody turned the incredible grocery shrink ray on Hollywood.
There is no shortage of quantity available. What we need now is quality.
Destroying the village in order to save it is not a plan that I want to recognize as an American.
Not destroyed. Civil liberties are reduced in wartime, and that was a real war, unlike now. Millions dead. I'd be more concerned about the millions of Americans incarcerated right *now*. And the millions more who have their freedom otherwise curtailed. How many belong there? It is a rate several times higher than other countries. Only Putin's Russia comes close.
United States Citizens who happened to be of Japanese descent. As opposed to, say, German descent. Or enemy aliens of Italian descent
I don't know anything about Japanese Americans, but being a citizen is no guarantee. Many of the Islamic mass-murderers in Europe have been local-born citizens. After Pearl Harbour, the Americans were understandably scared. The German conducted a very damaging sabotage campaign on US soil during WWI, even though the US was not officially at war until near the end. Can you guarantee similar would not have happened during WW2 without interment? It only takes a few to cause massive disruption in the war effort, and so many more deaths on the battlefield.
And as for Japanese vs Italian - massive difference. We had a number of POW camps near where I live. The Italians went out for the day to work on local farms, while the Japanese had to be kept behind razor wire and machine guns. They still resisted - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... . Most of the Italian escape attempts were after the war, to avoid being sent home.
But how would I connect my CDROM drive?

Do we have to have the rubber jokes on every Nokia story?
OK, bet they wished they'd worn one when they got into bed with Microsoft.

Interesting, but I've never heard such a claim before.
Really? I'm constantly seeing articles about how people made large amounts of money in their spare time, working from home on the internet.
The non-kangaroo will probably be an ostrich with his head in the sand.
That would be an emu with his head ... oh I see.
3. go back to a square style
Square phone? Nokia did that years ago. Apple could never be so daring.

Good for the rocket. Are we expecting it to go back up and launch a second satellite?
Then it can only serve one purpose.
That is a feature, not a bug. Add a second software LED if you with. I don't care if it adds 5 cents to the retail price.
Thanks, but that went way over my head, despite doing some pure maths at university. I'll wait for the xkcd version.

The associated email address was, and still is is, my first name @bellsouth.net. I've had that email address for two decades,
So set up email forwarding.
https://www.google.com.au/sear...
I am, in a way, "stuck" with that address until I die
And do you still get snail mail forwarded from the house you lived in 20 years ago?

and the only people they hate more is anyone who shows up to help?
I was with you until you said "help". Don't be so naive. If not for the oil, we'd have as many "helpers" in the Middle East as we do in the Congo.
I'm stuck with a Yahoo email because of my ISP.
I find that very hard to believe. Is your ISP blocking all other SMTP and IMAP traffic? Blocking gmail and hotmail (or whatever MS calls it now)?
That which Mendel showed is not a theory, but well understood and proven fact.
So you think the word "theory" means an unproven hypothesis? Are you from Texas?
I should be able to easily buy a silencer.
I thought silencers were a hollywood invention, like figure-8 images from binoculars, visible laser beams and fireballs in space, or Black judges and police chiefs.
I immediately found an article from earlier this year reporting on a recent study which reported the opposite results, i.e., that time spent with children didn't matter.

Netflix has done a great job on the remake of House of Cards. But then, the original was brilliant too, not a steaming pile of Irwin Allen.

You may wish to keep up with current events.
Indonesia is a very big place, and Aceh province has long been somewhat "special". They have Sharia for a start, unlike the rest of Indonesia.
