This proves pretty much my point. Why bring game to market that no-one is able to play with full details? Whole computer market is dragging behind these stupid games that are supposed to work better when you buy Multimega++ GHz computers. With little optimization those games can be run on "normal" PCs. Maybe Intel is sponsoring the whole game development business:)
I bought UT2003 and what a horrible mistake I made. I had to eat macarones rest of the month and what did I get from it... Stupid game that doesn't run on my computer (Duron 1200, Ati 8500LE).
Graphics was supposed to be awesome, at least somebody said so back then. Well maybe they were, but all those fancy details and flashing things made the whole screen to look really confusing. I couldn't tell what part of the screen was supposed to be a wall and where the enemy was:) I hope UT2004 does a better job on this one and I have the money to buy better PC so I'm able to play it (if I win a lottery).
I read about protocol named T/TCP (if I remember correctly the name) which speeded up TCP-handshaking and made some other adjustements to network couple of years ago. Basically TCP and UDP mixture. I've never heard it afterwards so I think it fainted to oblivion (as I think this one does also).
Nah, it isn't Opera to blame. It's JavaScript to blame. But anyway, I din't get it to work on Opera and other browsers aren't supported by me. So I guess it's bye bye for this service.
I wouldn't like to play games with my cellular phone. The screen is so tiny that me eyes gets sore after a while. I like to make calls and talk with my friends with my cellular phone. I have desktop computer and PlayStation if I want to play games.
But how about then, when people have sufficient technical skills but are lacking social skills?
I like to work on team where people talk to each other and have fun even at work. I doesn't matter if someone screwes up couple hundred lines of code but it does matter if someone is acting like jerk. Well, maybe this is a little exxagrated example but anyway.
When people are comfortable with each others at work they tend to work faster which is strange because they usually chat more at the same time.
I don't know how all this is accomplished. Maybe it just takes rigth types of persons in the same room at the same time. But on the other hand it takes only one "wrong person" to crumble the whole thing.
Well, I've been doing libraries for Windows which users can use when they want to install network drivers and stuff like that. It basically does all the configuration there is to do.
Documenting library API felt really stupid. Function names was so self-explanatory (config_ip_setting, bind_interface_to, and so on...). Even the guys who used that library was very skilled programmers but for some curious reason I had to document stuff like "Function: config_ip_settings Descript: Makes IP setting configuration."
Oh well...
Well, C isn't propably the safest language BUT... I really think that people should learn how to write code and "safe" code. All of these nice features to prevent buffer overflows and stuff like that isn't really the answer IMO. I think it's just a great way to procude bad coders (maybe Java coders:P )
I thought that IPv6 standard isn't fully complete yet. What I've heard is that there is something going on with mobile IP that isn't decided yet. Anyone has any information about this?
What I've seen pages that are correctly (that follows standards) written looks real nice on P800. Pages that doesn't give a crab about standards... well, they look little less nice.

Not to mention that nice sentence:
.NET Framework at the kernel level.
:)
I had several years experience programming VB, C#, ASP, and
I would never thought that MS is putting ASP in kernel! Hope you won't moderate this down because I had fun writing this

I bought my Eizo 19" about a year ago and now we are planning to get married soon. I don't know if local laws permits this but who cares...
