Nobody really believes that riscible Russian bullshit.

Reality has a well known anti-American Exceptionalist bias. Why you sociopathic imperialists keep pretending otherwise is a mystery, as the Assistant Secretary of State is on video bragging about the $5 billion spent to undermine Ukrainian democracy - and then Americans have the chutzpah to whine about Russian interference in our elections last year. She's also recorded picking post-coup leaders - and yeah it was a coup as the parliamentary vote didn't have the votes needed to remove Yanukovych from power.

Yanukovic was about to sign an EU association agreement. Putin had an autistic freakout and decided to go full on the attack against the EU, and threatened Yanukovic to drop the association agreement. THAT was what prompted the street-level explosion -- the people wanted European norms, not Russian-style lawnessness and corruption.

Get the fuck outta here with that revisionist nazi bullshit. The pro-west capitalist faction wanted to sign for an IMF loan with it's usual austerity-crushing measures that forces the state to sell off public services and infrastructure for pennies on the dollar. Which is exactly why the capitalists wanted it - so they could privatize industries and start rent-seeking the citizens to death, same as what happens here in the U.S..

In response, Putin did the despicable, unconscionable action of - giving Ukraine a simple, low interest loan with no onerous conditions, along with a cheap deal on gas. The peeved Right Sector, unable to win at the ballot box, then started a coup with assistance from the United States. That's what happened in Ukraine. Which means that if Putin did a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, it would be infinitely more justified than any American war you can name. It's not like the United States would sit with its thumb up its ass if Russia overthrew the government of Canada, after encircling the U.S. with Warsaw Pact countries (after promising not to).

In which case you'd still be an insane xenophobe, but at least you'd be a consistent deranged xenophobe. Did I mention deranged? Because as a private citizen, Trump was perfectly free to talk to and conduct business with Russia.

I'm not sure why anyone would adapt this cognitive dissonance.

A great deal of cognitive dissonance is required - for everyone who's bought into the Russian hysteria, like yourself. What's really happening is that there is no evidence for Russia hacking the DNC's or Poedesta's emails, there never was. Wow. Was that said in your best Charlie Sheen "winning!" voice? No, what's happening now is that there is no evidence to support Russian hacking and there never was. Which would mean that the media and almost all of the Democratic party were going to have to admit they were hysterical McCarthyist shitbags.

Well, we couldn't have that, now could we? So now they're trying to find nefarious connections and whining when people start taking the 5th in response to a witch hunt. It's a direct mirror of what Republicans did in the 90's - spend a hundred million dollars investigating the Clintons on everything from Whitewater to drug running to murdering Vince Foster. It all turned to bullshit in their hands, so rather than admit to being asshole witch hunters, they settled on a manufactured sexual perjury charge. Which Clinton wasn't even guilty of using the court's definition of "sexual relations."

That's what Democrats are doing. Finally getting some revenge on a Republican president for all the nonsense they went through 20 years ago. Except they became what they hated in the process.
