exactly my point! Again, the third article you linked to states "The Sun's energy output has not increased since direct measurements began in 1978'. The second article you linked to, from the exact same site, disputes it! What kind of junk science are you reading anyway?
How on earth did your post get modded as Informative? You link to a site that says "The Sun's energy output has not increased since direct measurements began in 1978'. That is completely untrue, the sun's energy output varies daily, and the sun goes through 11 year cycles in which it's overall output increases or decreases. Try this article. Or this one. Or just google it yourself!. In fact, one of the articles you link to disputes the other! Maybe you should try reading a few other sources than New Scientist, as there are mountains of evidence that would suggest the science isn't as nearly as conclusive as the IPCC backers would like you to believe.
except the melting was part of a normal cycle which is now over, and the ice is now expanding again. This summer will see the least ice lost to melting in a long time. Didn't any of you people hear about the kayaker last year who wanted to kayak to the ice free north pole only to be forced to turn back thousands of km from his target due to the ice not disappearing like all the climate priests had foretold?
Al Gore founded a company that trades carbon credits, then launched the Inconvenient Truth movie. His carbon credit trading scheme is making him boatloads of money, yet you don't question his credibility. Why?
To claim that those disputing the current global warming theory are funded by oil is a cop out. Prove their facts to be wrong, and you score a point. Ignore their facts and dismiss them as "funded by big oil" and you validate the concerns they're expressing about this issue.
Walmart = Jackassery
Convenience Stores = Jackassery
Gas Stations = Jackassery
iTunes Music Store = Jackassery
Best Buy = Jackassery
What's with all the Jackasseries running around selling things they only bought so they could turn around and sell it to someone else for more money?
I play the games on that site regularly, and the RNG he was using had a tendency to throw out some astronomically rare results a little too often. Having played the board game Axis and Allies for a dozen years, and then playing the computer version at gamesbyemail, I can tell you that an RNG isn't really random like the dice are. And apparently the RNG server he used to use was supposedly a good one.
It could also be because it's not a single stand-alone app like the other one was, it's part of an entire enterprise suite of products that work together.
Of course, with the huge increase in demand for electricity for all the plug-in cars, the hydro generation companies will be using fossil fuels to provide the extra electricity demanded.
Uh, the French and Polish resistance both worked with the liberating army, and had the support of the local populace. Not a good example to use as a comparison.
Talking, which incidentally produces more CO2 than not talking, is contributing to climate change. Therefore, talking should be taxed. Politicians and lawyers getting taxed when they talk would solve so many of the worlds' problems...
Who produces the most carbon dioxide exhaling? Fat vs thin, man vs woman, active vs lazy? I wanna know if I have any personal production carbon credits available to sell.
yeah, except NeXT multiprocessed the guts over 10 years ago. There's been quite a lot of work done since then. And Xgrid is already available and making good use of processors beyond qty 4.

No, Apple saw Creative one lawsuit, and raised them three more. It's called IP/patent poker, and it's all the rage right now. It's set to take over Texas Hold 'em as the most popular form of poker.
hate to burst your bubble, but you're wrong on a couple of points. According to the 1999 International Crime Victimization Survey, Canada had a 1.5 times higher rate of "contact crime" (robbery, sexual assault, and assault with force) than the US. In fact, aside from homicide, crime rates in Canada are pretty much equal to those of US rates. And in regards to Canada's health care being the best? HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!! In 2000 Canada ranked 30th in the world according to the World Health Organization. Don't know where we stand now, but I'm sure we've dropped some since then. The biggest problem with Canada are the ignorant Canadians who think they're so much better than everybody else but don't take the time to actually do the comparison. Since 1976 when Canada and the US had pretty much equal average per capita incomes, things have gone downhill for Canada. We now earn on average one third less than Americans. Our "sacred" health care system is in a dire mess while Canadians rant and rave about not wanting any privatization in the health care system. There are only three countries in the world where you are not allowed to buy a medical procedure: North Korea, Cuba, and Canada. Tens of thousands of Canadians travel abroad each year to seek medical procedures, many of them paid for by the Canadian health care system. But you have to leave the country in order to get the treatment you need. It's pathetic. Canadians need to wake up and learn the facts, and stop repeating the lies that have been fed to them for the last twenty years. The most successful health care systems in the world have a good balance of public and private care.
I think a bit of clarification on your statement is necessary. The high-end G5 has two front side busses, one for each processor. This was always the case, even on the first dual 2GHz G5. The latest model features two front side busses, one per dual-core processor, at 1.25GHz each. This gives a maximum throughput to each dual-core processor of 10GBps, and 20GBps total between the CPUs and the system controller. The memory has a maximum throughput to the system controller of 8.5GBps, the video has 4GBps, and the PCI-x has 4GBps. The I/O subsystem (dual gigabit ethernet, dual SATA, USB, Firewire, Superdrive) has 1.6GBps. So all combined, 18.1GBps to the system controller, which can talk to the processors at 20GBps. While it would be nice to have dual memory busses, that would only leave 3GBps of bandwidth available for the rest of the system devices to share. In terms of the Athlon dual-core, I'm not positive on this, but I think it's integrated memory controller maxes throughput at 6.4GBps, and the I/O at 8GBps. Another point to note when comparing the architecture of the two processors is the design of Apple's front side bus. It has a 64-bit bus divided into two 32-bit busses, one travelling into the processor, one travelling out. Thus, 5GBps in, and 5GBps out. The Athlon has a 128-bit memory bus and a 16-bit system bus, both of which are unidirectional (either in or out, not simultaneous). The Apple bus architecture eliminates the latency associated with flipping the direction of the bus as well as the latency associated with the processor and system controller negotiating who will be using the bus next.
It's bad when MS vertically aligns IE, Office, and Windows in such a way that makes it difficult for competitors products (netscape, wordperfect, etc). They leveraged their OS monopoly to eliminate competition.
to name a few apps that can utilize a second processor:
Photoshop
Final Cut Pro
Adobe After Effects
LightWave
Logic
BLAST
not to mention the fine-grained resource locking in Tiger which allows the OS itself to fully leverage multiple CPUs (not just dual, but multiple...as in dual dual-core CPUs....)
Why wouldn't it be feasible for them to support products with both processors? They kept an up-to-date version of OS X on x86 for 5 YEARS! Now they have a developers kit that can produce binaries for both PowerPC and x86 without any extra work. It would be very easy for them to support both.

Yes, because peer reviewed science is so much more trustworthy, isn't it? If you want to challenge his science, challenge it with facts. Don't dismiss it because he's not in the same frat as the rest of the guys you've heard from. Show me how he faked the satellite images of ice coverage, or how the arctic actually warmed up this spring much more than the data sets he presented. Otherwise, your post is nothing but a flamebait and should be modded as such.

Yeah? Why don't you try booting off the CD and doing a repair install, and see how "uh, fine" it is then...

the language of LOVE. It's your ONLY hope of ever getting laid without paying.

So sell your patent to someone who has the resources to sue HP/IBM/Dell.
