    Funny that you say this. I have a couple of 10 year old floppies here that still work. However, the ones made only a couple of years ago ALL give me failures. Guess floppies were better made 10 years ago.

    I hope he's acquitted. I hope they are disallowed from using laden terminology (like, pirate) in the trial. I hope the jury understands that the unreasonable stance taken is grounds in itself for refusal to convict.

    Oh boy, it is soo easy. Pick up something a la knoppix and try it out!

    I used Gnustep Live CD to get debian on my toshiba satellite 4090 CDS and on my main machine without any problems.

    Even
    apm --suspend
    worked out of the box on the toshiba...

    1. I put a linux box acting as router, firewall, apache server and internet connection on the network.

    2. Then I post a story on slashdot with a link to the apache server.

    3. ???

    4. Instant latency!

    (And by carefully choosing the size of the documents/jpegs/mpegs I can actually simulate different kinds of latency!!!)

    VNC does the trick as well. Found out today on my machine from work. Terminal Services I can't install so I opted for vnc. Got it working in a minute. Only had to install the xvncviewer on my linux box and entered the gates of Moria once more.
