That's not the point though - it's supposed to be compatible. Compatible does not mean "Formulas that look almost, but not quite the same", and it certainly doesn't include googling for a workaround.
Hey, I totally agree with you. I was just curious whether the angry AC was actually telling the truth.
I do hope that whoever thought "Oh, I know, I really hate commas in formulas, let's do semicolons instead, they look much nicer" is really proud of himself;(
Too true. That makes me think of Bill Gates deciding to use \ instead of / as a directory separator. What massive and long-standing effects a dumb, hastily-made decision can make!
I have encrypted this with a one time pad. Now, it's a pretty short message. We could brute force all the possible combinations on your regular computer pretty much instantly. Anyone care to guess what the message might be?
Allow me to introduce myself: I am the grammar nazi. Your remark was cringe-inducing, so I felt compelled to mention that you really, truly meant to write "for all intents and purposes".
Support for competing MP3 portables. I think I read somewhere that iTunes may support another mp3 player besides the iPod, but that really isn't enough. Once again, I think it'd be beneficial the popularity of the program if they supported other players. Have they released an SDK for their community to toy with? The Foobar and Nullsoft teams did this, and they got great results
Yea, they should definitely sacrifice hardware sales to support this free program! Why didn't they think of that?
Hello? Apple makes money off iPods, not iTunes or the iTMS.
If Bush 2.0 gets in again I have every intent of booking it to Canada or England as soon as I can, before he starts up the draft to fund the manpower portion of his neo-con wetdream wars. I won't be alone, either.
Buh-bye then. And please take Alec Baldwin with you this time.
Maybe instead of this, they should concentrate on making a suspend/hibernate that works.
That's one of the main reasons I use a Mac laptop as my main computer -- the sleep mode is fantastic. It's only gets rebooted about once a month or so for software updates, and is available in about 1 second when opening the lid. It's always on.
As far as I can tell, there is no way to use a KVM with kernel 2.6 and still have mouse wheel support. It works until you switch away and back to Linux, at which point the mouse goes completely nuts and cannot be revived. Back in 2.4, there were two hacks to revive the mouse in this situation (switch VCs, or set the mouse protocol in X to "AUTO") but neither of these work in 2.6. Windows, needless to say, has no problems.
You can supposedly pass a psmouse.noext parameter to the kernel at boot time to fix the craziness, but a) this would remove mouse wheel support, and b) I never got it work anyway.
If you know a workaround, please post!

I took this AC up on his challenge, and in fact he is correct. If you google for "vlookup ooo", the answer is the first hit. Not bad...
FP!
[Jeff Goldblum voice] There is no step 2. There is no step 2!
Shared libraries, here we come!
I see someone is still taking up arms in the "hack vs. crack" nomeclature war. I thought we had surrendered.
as long as its room temperature in there, why not toss a few people/monkeys/whatever in with it?
That would be because it's going to take several years to arrive.
Flash is very cool technology. It simply does not belong on the web.
Ha! You'll have to pry my Homestar Runner from my cold dead hands!
It's not productive. Especially when it's common knowledge that Mac users are WAY smarter.

Pfft! Not if it interferes with my God-given right to download stuff of the web at top speed whenever I want!
...but it never mentioned if it was bash, tcsh, or ksh.
So are you saying that this works better than single data rate RAM?

That reminds me of the six-million dollar man. Hum the tune now...
We can rebuild it. We have the technology. Spirit will be that rover. Better than it was before. Better... Faster... Stronger...
Of course it's hard to hear that tune in your head today without the little AOL guy running on the treadmill coming to mind, so nevermind.
And this helps how for Linux on PowerPC, SPARC, etc.? Not everyone uses x86 you know. This would be a step backwards for all non-x86 ports.
