I don't think anyone would expect that of first generation immigrants. Having suffered through the Detroit public school system until 6th grade, it was good that my parents moved because I doubt most Detroit HS grads are reading at 8th grade level. I suspect it's that way in many districts across the nation.
At 60, I would say that the late 20s and up to ~40 were the best years of my life. But, I'm about to retire to a lake, so a boat, a dog, and some fishing poles may change my opinion.
I didn't join FB until my kid was in high school. It was another tool for me to keep up with what she was doing. And then I was also able to catch up with old friends who I hadn't heard from in ages, or totally lost track of.
Don't feel sorry for me. I'm 60, and posted about my upcoming retirement last night. 45 of my friends have already responded. And no, I don't have FB friends that I barely know. And yes, I know FB is a shithole, but I've yet to see a good alternative when your friends are spread all over the country, and a few in other countries.
Ever since we got the coloring book that was USA Today, yes newspapers have. It contributed to the short attention span folks and made the rag a ton of money. I'm not in any way disagreeing with you. Clearly writers and publishers want to maximize their income. I'm just saddened that we have to stoop to such a low level.
Unless they're picture books, you can't get to 74% when half the population is illiterate.
From WaPo: Approximately 32 million adults in the United States can't read, according to the U.S. Department of Education and the National Institute of Literacy. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development found that 50 percent of U.S. adults can't read a book written at an eighth-grade level.
And connecting utilities infrastructure to the internet will always be stupid. You don't need your own internet to solve that problem, you need that stuff off of any internet whatsoever.
While I agree that's what you'd want, that horse left the barn long ago. I doubt any nation has offline utilities anymore.
Both are at fault. ISPs spent over $100M on donations to both parties, with the Rs getting a bit more ($55M v. $45M), most likely be cause there were more of them in office.
That's because people have had less withheld throughout the year. Your refund doesn't tell the whole story in what your total taxes were. In truth, only about 9% of wage-earners will have a higher (total annual) tax bill.
Interesting, there are still a lot of folks with AOL email addresses, including my wife. Mine would work too if I ever bothered resetting the long forgotten password.

Either they have a case against her or they don't...we'll see. If they have one, not some made up one, then I think it would be a bad precedent to not arrest and charge her.
Wow, you call what he stated logic...SMH. He demonstrated nothing other than random items of basic evolution, and proved nothing to negate the study. Again, unless you're an expert on the topic...and you also clearly are not or you'd understand actual logic, we shouldn't be judging until additional studies are done.
" but it has nothing to do with preventing Alzheimers"
Says random internet guy. Clearly, unless we're experts on the topic, and you're not, we shouldn't even have an opinion on this until further study is completed.
Again, you're making baseless assumptions, and offering worthless "Protip"s that are just from some random internet dork who believes that the Po Po is out to get everyone. That's pure immaturity.
In this economy, if you're not making enough at one employer, why the fuck are you staying there? No, let's lower ourselves to theft and stick it to the man, right? moron.
So, no admins, mail room, etc? Most every large company has some low paid folks. And pretty much every type of franchise business too. Small businesses are frequently living on the edge, which is one of the reasons so many of them fail. So, it's critical for them to keep their overhead costs down...including office supplies. Obviously, you have to do something to keep employee moral up too, but there are plenty of options there.

The Constitution says a lot of things that courts have ruled on and it really only matters what the courts decide.

We never would have gotten rid of AOL
Interesting, there are still a lot of folks with AOL email addresses, including my wife. Mine would work too if I ever bothered resetting the long forgotten password.
You do realize that people tend to become more conservative with age. There are plenty of articles you can find on the topic.
Obama signed 13 EOs for national emergencies. I bet you couldn't name one without googling.
Never really used it??? Try 364+291+276 times!

No more than I wanted Obama to. If you think one party is any worse than the other at this, then you're very naive.
What good would that do?
Maybe you should ask the police first before making an assumption? What could it harm by telling them?
It's been all around Capital Hill for much longer. Don't kid yourself into thinking one side or the other isn't guilty.
In this economy, if you're not making enough at one employer, why the fuck are you staying there? No, let's lower ourselves to theft and stick it to the man, right? moron.
More likely, you're treated like a child because you're acting like one. Not to mention being a thief who thinks they hold the moral highground...SMH.
