I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover. If there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to the Flying Spaghetti Monster, you just rejected Him from your city. And don't wonder why He hasn't helped you when problems begin, if they begin. I'm not saying they will, but if they do, just remember, you just voted Pasta out of your city. And if that's the case, don't ask for His noodly forgivness because he might not be there.
#11 - Law of Inherent Combustability
Everything explodes. Everything.

Anything that explodes bulges first. Second Corrallary
Large cities are the most explosive substances known to human science. Tokyo in particular seems to be the most unstable of these cities, sometimes referred to as "The Matchstick City".
Really, the first thing I saw when I read the headline was "Suprnova Imaged by Hubble Telescope." I had to read the blurb a couple of times to realize that the article is about Astronomy, not the proliferation of software piracy.
You just described 90% of MMORPGs. Personally, I prefer a MMOG with a fabrication system gone beserk to a game that expects you to spend days leveling your character.

I believe the environmentalists are more afraid that the mutant grass will become self-aware and begin to assimilate native grasses into some sort of "collective".
That depends on what opne considers "culture." Coincidentally, I just started taking an elective in cultural anthropology. One of the first things we discussed in the class was animals and culture. It seems that chimpanzees can actually use tree branches to dig termites out of their mounds. I know this isn't new, but I think that learned tool use is at least the beginnings of culture.
The linux port should help widen the gamecube's appeal to more people
I'm doubtful of that. We as nerds ceased to fuel the video game market years ago. The modern console owner knows nothing of linux, let alone porting it into his or her Gamecube.
This will add a lot of functionality to an aging piece of hardware. Why go out and build/buy a media center when you can just port linux onto an old Gamecube?
40% will be regarding dubs vs subs, and how American actors couldn't splutter out a few lines to save their rear ends, while Japanese seiyuu are suddenly God's gift to voicework. Hint: Just because it's in a language you don't know, does not automatically make voice acting good.
Hmmm. I guess I'll have to work that 40%. For me, it's not that the voice-acting is any better. It's that I'm more accustomed to japanese voices. Try watching "Sabre Marionette J" or "Slayers" sub-titled, and then watching them dubbed a day later. At this point, the american voice actors seem like nails-on-a-chalkboard...
Gah, you have obviously never seen Furi Kuri(FLCL). The animation beats out ANY Chuck Jones/Warner Bros. cartoon.
Seriously though, it seems that you are limiting what you watch just so you can give anime a bad rap. I get the feeling you watch DBZ fandubbed(Augh!) daily, just so you stoke your firey hatred for anime.
Imagine the incidence rate for eye and wrist related diseases. +60-hours a week in front of a television, wrestling with an uncomfortable controller, all the while squinting 'cause your vision is in a downward spiral.
d) all of the above

I didn't RTFA, but it's pretty obvious that an .xxx TLD would would lessen the chance of exposure of pornography to minors.
.xxx could shield young children from damaging material.
It doesn't take a Yale-educated parent to realize that blocking
I fail to see why anyone would oppose this.
Tokyo, AKA "The Match-Stick City."
Who shops at a store with "otaku" in the title. That's similar to admitting that you post regularly on Slashdot.
You watched it! You can't unwatch it!
Remember to stress these points when making flamebait posts about Halo 2:
1. Same tired gameplay
2. Repetition
3. The console FPS ALWAYS sucks
Thank you.

Why not just buy an Xbox and screw Microsoft over?
I have a Gamecube. I have PSO. And--indeed--I have the broadband adapter.
I do not have $200.00 of expendable income.

It may not "News for Nerds," but it certainly is "Stuff that matters."
