...hmmm
Ya know how identity theft and warnings about sharing personal information is in the news all the time? Probably not good for business huh? When people don't feel good about doing business online...they don't do it as much. When people don't do as much online business, who suffers? The businesses who provide the infrastructure to do business online. Who happens to be one of those businesses? Microsoft.
Does this work to their advantage? yes. Does that make it any less good for us? No
What really sucked about the 3G ipod design was that you often want to feel around the interface without looking to find the button you want(especially when driving). The design makes it impossible because feeling around lightly actually clicks the buttons. How they didn't think of this initially kinda blows my mind.
It's even better than that really because a light sensor is pretty complicated. But the structures in a light sensor can be useful in many other areas. So they can evolve independently without the light sensor coming to spontaneously exist. Then one day these components evolve to come together and wammo...you have a light sensor. This is one of the main places that Intelligent Design people get it wrong. They say the eye is too complex to have evolved from randomness...but that is predicated on the belief that the structures that make up the eye aren't useful to other biological processes...which is wrong.
AFAIK(I listened to an NPR broadcast about this yesterday) they'll still be air broadcasts...you just need a d/a converter box. The box is supposed to be 'cheap' so...while it's not great, it's not awful either.
Why the hell would you pull out of a great orgasm to cum on the girls face??? BOOOOOORRRRRING!
Umm...maybe because porn is a visual medium and you can't SEE someone having a great orgasm. Porn is not an instructional video. It's a way to excite you VISUALLY. This is the same reason you see flicking tongue's in porn during oral sex. Anybody with real experience knows that doesn't really work. But, apparently, it's visually enticing.
I'm not trying to argue that porn is amazing. But you don't seem to have a clue about how to make it better.
...and you'll see KS's review of Phantom Menace was positive as well. I think if it had been a negative review it'd be something to consider, but a positive review isn't really worth much from him. Even more so considering he might work with Lucas in future.
I hear what you're saying...however, perhaps creating a new industry might be economically more appealing(and sadly more realistic) than displacing the status quo of an existing industry.
then perhaps it should've been presented as such rather than a smoke screen to justify it based on more palatable reasons. How can i trust you(the administration) when you present bogus reasons for your actions
But I've had friends do game testing...playing the same game for 8 months trying every scenario, making it crash, and then taking notes day in day out - it's just not that enjoyable...especially if the game sux.
but that makes no sense in the context of the story...if they estimate lifetime by mass, then how can they comment that it's lifetime "is nearly an eternity for a sub-atomic particle this heavy" - thats circular reasoning
There's certainly merit to this...I worked in an experimental laser lab for a couple years and there were a few times where theories were put forth to explain some observed behavior only to later find out it was a miscalibrated probe, dirty mirror, etc. This is why science is so hard.
As a student of physics I don't like that standard model. It seems more like classification than theory to me - but if nothing else it's a stepping stone to something else.
umm...when you talk about the size of a device you think volume...who cares about the surface area. And yes 5cm is small...but does it make a dvd seem "enormous"? No.
So he learned tons about physics, but not the first thing about economics, law restrictions, marketing, or infrastructure?

fair enough - but I'd blame that on the developers, no?

pfff...how many people have two REGULAR tv sets in one room. I'm not saying it doesn't exist but, it's a perfectly valid criticism.

Hmmm...they just bought virtual pc. Think that might be a step in that direction?
In fact I saw Mel Gibson coming out against invitro fertilization - he said he "didn't get it". I think he got one part right.

Ummm yeah...because classical music is the only way you could learn about music. Elitist.
But I've had friends do game testing...playing the same game for 8 months trying every scenario, making it crash, and then taking notes day in day out - it's just not that enjoyable...especially if the game sux.
ok, I acquiesce - thats almost unbelievable - but true.

ummm...how about a reference for that? I don't think that is accurate. A billion is 10^9 everywhere.

my guess...known velocity, see one trail, see the trail diverge, measure length of original trail, you now have a lifetime.

1GB per cubic centimeter? a 5GB rod is 5x1x1 centimeters...doesn't make a dvd seem enormous to me.
I would think the idea being that a less familiar architecture will at lease be more difficult to hack.
you haven't written a game lately have you?
No!!!! But thanks for posting warez sites. It's http://www.flstudio.com
