    However, the more messages you get, the more tuned your filter is (if you've categorized them right). Also, on SpamBayes (if you can't get people off of lookOut, at least get them on a Bayesian filter), the chances that a legit mail gets marked as Certain Spam are slim - it could very easily go into Unsure Spam, which is designed for messages that score too high to hit the Inbox, and too low to hit the Certain Spam filter. The larger your corpus, the more accurate it'll get, and the only way for sure that the spammers can get in is if they have access to the parts of your corpus that say what lowers the score. Bayesian filtering will last for a while, especially when combined with conservative blacklists, and an encrypted corpus (so that Joe Spamcracker can't get into your corpus as easily).

    No, it definitely looks like a Gnome or KDE theme (from what I've seen). FVWM95 looks like stock Windows 95, except the fonts are off a bit.

    LOL... and I bet some people would be clamoring for an OSS alternative to Windows SMB/CIFS on Windows. Then again, some people would be clamoring for an OSS alternative to Notepad (come to think of it, Notepad SHOULD be replaced).

    Last I checked, ext3 only broke support when a program designed to manipulate ext2 wanted to write.

    Umm... it has been tested in a Norwegian court (and deemed legal), and you're thinking of watching their CSS-encrypted legally-bought DVDs, which may be illegal in the US (but not in Norway), thanks to the DMCA.

    What job? I'm not 18 yet (actually, not 16 yet). I need to decide on more than just case layout, as I'm going to use an Alienware-esque upgradable video card, but I also need a pass-through so that a system with integrated video can be upgraded.

    BTW, this was as a user, but with YaST (but not KControl) running as root. Dell Inspiron 1100, bla bla bla, default KControl YaST integration, yada yada yada.

    This is why I want to develop a standard. It would put the case at 13x10x1.5 (inches), with a .5" thick LCD unit. Maybe call it LTX? I'd have to do some more sketching to decide on how it would work, but I know many people would buy one...

    Because it's CF Revision 2.0, and most likely Type II. If your camera can take a microdrive, it can take Type II, however, it will probably not handle Rev2.0. It's like PCMCIA - Rev1.0 was storage, Rev2.0 was ISA or PCI over IDE.

    However, YaST modules in KControl don't work right if they need to run as root (read: all YaST modules). I've found that it won't accept keyboard input on YaST via KControl with YaST run as root. (8.2 FTP edition)

    ...but you might want to try Virgin Mobile. $0.25/min for the first 10 minutes of a day, $0.10 every minute after that. Unfortunately, selling phones back doesn't seem to be common over here. The phone is $60 for the lowest end model, if you're interested.

    Hmm... looking at http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/ProductInforma tion/0,,30_118_3734_3776,00.html, I'd say that AMD did this in comparison to the P4. A 1400+ (did one exist on the desktop?) wouldn't do very well against a 1.4GHz Athlon.

    Not the Pentium 4-M. Think Pentium 3.5-M. However, no Pentium 3 would work with the 855 (or any Intel P4 chipset - the 855 is a version of the 845 optimized for the P4), and no Pentium M would work with the 440, 810, 815, 820, or any other P3 compatible chipset.

    Umm... it would perform as PC50 (forget the ns rating that matches that), PC60, or PC66.

    Hmm... think of it this way: a company is selling you a car and a garage. The garage is exactly four feet wide, and there are two cars to choose from. One is eight feet wide, and costs more, but can easily be cut down to four feet wide. However, it has slightly more capacity when cut down than the other car. Their philosophy is that you won't be able to tell the difference between the four foot wide cut-down car, and the four foot wide car, since the differences are minimal. However, is it right? No.

    It's not a 1.8GHz processor. That's why it's an 1800+ (I'd bold and italic the plus, but it doesn't really show up), not an 1800. Saying a Radeon 9000 is a 9200 is FALSE. Saying a 1.(something lower than 8) GHz processor probably performs like a 1.8GHz processor isn't false.

    CHR$(7), was that [CTRL]-[G]? If it was, THAT was really dumb. Making everyone hear it instantly? You should have WAITed 60000 clock cycles (60 seconds, or one minute) before the GOTO statement. Also, why the FOR statement? You should have used the following code:
    10 WAIT 60000
    20 PRINT CHR$(7) (you could have used 20 PRINT "^G", if 7 was the beep)
    30 PRINT "teacher SUCKS THE BIG ONE"
    40 GOTO 20

    If you actually want cool chips, get a VIA C3. If you want somewhat cool chips that perform, get a Pentium M and a PowerLeap adaptor.

    Windows XP Home supports (AFAIK) one CPU (HT won't work), XP Pro supports two CPUs (two actual CPUs, or one HT CPU), Server 2003 supports a shitload of CPUs (can be as low as four, however).
