    Judging by the copyrights on a Dell? You must be out of your mind, or never looked at a new (latest generation, available for a couple months before the b2s rush) Dell. They're running the current version of PhoenixBIOS now (maybe not on their managable (OptiPlex and Latitude) systems, but definitely on their home systems). Look at the boot screen on an Inspiron 1100. It's in 1024x768x256 (or more). The only one that can do that is the latest version of PhoenixBIOS.

    Yep. I've got a Sprint-modified Zyxel. It works great - unfortunately, mine won't function as a router if you add a hub!

    Of course, that's 400Mb/s, not MB/s. 1 Mb (megabit) is 1/8 of 1 MB (megabyte).

    This isn't a Google competitor, it's an Overture competitor (think Google AdWords, but only a search of those sites - and listings are ranked by cost, just like adwords).

    Umm, I think that already exists. Granted, it works better on ISA (which can take MANY more slots), but it's possible.

    All I've heard is a MINOR mention that one company's voting machine is outlawed in Ohio, another's wasn't being used, and the Diebold, which has security issues, was going to be used (WBNS 10, Columbus).

    The last time someone made an copy protection scheme for "CDs", didn't it only affect the first track on Linux? And even that could be gotten around? It's really simple - just rip everything but track 1 using CDParanoia.

    Obviously, SOMEONE cares about BeOS, if they're making something as large scale as THIS. It's like Amiga. It's dead (in the incarnation that we all know - NOT like AOS4/AmigaONE, which is an entirely different platform from the classic Amiga).

    I said mine was free. (it was free because I fixed it) I got the PSU for free because my school had some dead PCs of the same model. Mine's a Celeron 466 with 256MB RAM. Opera and Win2K work wonders on something like this - even when a webserver is running :-) (I'm running my site off of this box)

    When the most you can pay for a PC is $50. (Free is good - especially when it's because of a dead PSU, and I can get a good working PSU for free)

    I KNOW they sell the Classic 101 (which I've heard feels somewhat cheaper), but it's $50. The Model M is cheaper (because it's used), and better quality.
