I think they meant that kazaa is more favoured by highschoolers than BitTorrent is. But who knows, maybe someone left their computer on during summer to seed torrents?
We've already ditched the CDs for mp3 players, so why shouldn't we stop using DVDs? They're getting kinda big nowdays, I mean, a 5 inch plastic disc, isn't that a little large when it can fit together with a couple of others alike it in a hard drive of an ipod or something similiar.
I've tagged all my mp3 files with "downloaded from obli" in the comments field to see if one ever returns to me one day (don't know why I would download an mp3 I already have, but hey), maybe I'll see it in a friend's library, maybe someone recognizes the name, who knwos?
How has the word about wikipedia been spread? Has wikipedia actually paid a dime for all it's publicity, I don't think I've seen any advertisement when I think about it.
I was more thinking of the time when every kid had a weekly subscription of the major comic (in my case donald duck and Lee Falk's The Phantom).
Now it's just cartoons and computer games, maybe some web comics, but as I said earlier, i despise most of them, add an extra teaspoon of hate if you consider flash to be comics.
It might just be my imaginiation, but the golden age of comics is over, with all those web comics swamping the already broad selection it's hard to find a decent one.
Not to mention cathy, someone shoot the creator already
I kninda fell in love with Wulff Morgenthaler though, humour that's sick enough for me.
It's not like a big corporation (with the jobs we're talking about here) would undertake nearly 10% of the tasks that the open source community perform (small programs for a small crowd and such)
NO, I don't want to know about:
Your stupid MMS function that you are whoring with free months and weekends every now and then
Your 110% bonus if you charge your card with ridiculously huge amounts of cash
Cheap MMS
That I am welcome in Norway (Swedes crossing the Norweigan border actually get 'Welcome to Norway' sent to them)
What if it was a "real" message as the case is with fresh, uncofigurated spam filters? Then we'd have to solve it with a 'junk folder', which takes us back to SMS's bogging up the phone memory.
But the idea with spam not making a stupid noise that will piss off every librarian within 20 years radius is good, though.
I've been pestered ocassionally with SMS spam, but I had no idea how and where those foghats got my number from.
Then recently, maybe two days ago, I discovered a site that could do reverse lookup on numbers in my country, It found me from my number, in a goddamn public list, I checked a few more similiar sites and about half of them knew about me.
It appears that my WSP sold the numbers of anyone they had connected with a name, out there on the internet they're defenseless against them evil info harvesters.
Sellouts...
Death to Vodafone!
I usually sign up with the adress of people I hate. Right now it's that smelly boy in 5th grade who never would shut up about his baseball card collection.
Every time someone would ask for your Email adress, you'd just come up with a new one, that would be kickin' rad in my opinion.
And also, it would be interesting to see if people actually use your domain as a dummy mail (considering it's a fairly easy/funny domain).
Obviosly because someone clicked the red text that says "ENGLISH" to get an English version of the page.
I was more referring to network as the sum of all the content avalible fom the main hub lists.

"only" 8,800,000 GB on kazaa, I think the DC network is catching up on them too...

So that's what the tiny stipes of metal embeded under the protective plastic cover on library books are for...
Soon a reality... how exciting...
It better not be 3D, like morrowind, it takes out a great deal of the fallout feeling. But I guess it could survive on the story anyway.
Well, that would create some kind of upper class with more power, which isn't very democratic.
Sure, we've already got the moderators, but they're elected officials.

Isn't that basically as smart as building a brick house on a whipped cream and cake foundation?

Just imagine what a crick in the neck you'd get from talking to people.

Flush it straight away to what? Nothingness?

Yeah, but then it's basically FCC's blog that he uses for company PR.
Meh, I thought blogs would be personal, it's a lot about his company there instead :/
way to go, they could at least have attacked a good search engine if they wanted to be better competitors.
