Did you apply security patches to 4.5.2? A lot of Joomla 1.0.x and Mambo 4.5.2 sites got defaced. Just be mindful that there are always security patches being posted on the forums for both products.
Make sure you take a look at it quickly after a refresh. Some of them tend to always be screwed up right away. It's like somebody from an inferior CMS doesn't want you to see the light.
It's ok to be in programs like that. Just make sure to get a 3.5 GPA and do as many high-profile internships as possible. The combination of those two things will get you a job.
My schooling was kind of a joke, but job experience, GPA, and activities participation helped me land the job I have now.
Yeah, in addition to the parent:
You're probably guaranteed to be doing something with a website, a database, and XML being exchanged and parsed. That sums up 80% of the new jobs out there.
Learn Java and C#.
I've worked on some free/OSS projects which I've used in job interviews, but I also did three software development internships in college.
You'll find that for the most part FOSS experience will get you praise from Unix/Mac people, and will invoke a fairly neutral response from Windows people. Your average windows programming team lead doesn't know much about Open Source or might be bitter toward it due to the "free as in herpes" model of OSS licensing.
Mostly, employers of 20-somethings (I'm 24) are looking for the following, in order:
1. Proven experience from previous jobs/projects 2. A willingness to learn. 3. Diverse activity participation in college 4. high GPA (3.5+)
I have a couple questions to ask back:
Do you have job experience outside of your FOSS projects that would apply to a programming career?
Specifically, what kind of programming are you looking to do? Your list of languages is all over the place.
I've noticed that a lot of RSS providers, Slashdot included, already put lots of Ads into their RSS feeds.
I use Firefox with AdBlock for browsing and Thunderbird for RSS viewing, which hosts the pages. Has anybody successfully blocked ads with Thunderbird using a plugin?
I'd like to see affordable keyboards for RSI and a banishment of mice from the planet. Lousy addictive FPS games.
I use the Quill Mouse to slow down my RSI. It's great, but I still have use the GUI to debug effectively in Visual Studio.
In all the dorms I lived in, the phone numbers were in order of room number. It was kind of scary, but you could always figure out someone's phone number by adding their room number to a base.
He must not be in the IT program. The U of MN's IT program has many students who run Linux exclusively. They have at least a couple labs that are Linux as well.
We do the inverse as far as capitals, but we also use the "static" modifier to make sure nobody tries to call the function from another file.

Even more important: most of the 3rd-party developers went to Joomla, so Joomla will continue to pull ahead in the next year.
Not sure. We do all of our development on windows. Sorry.
Third!!! God I love Zend studio. It's like Visual Studio is to C++.

Use their SourceForge site here.
All the same files are posted there!
Please use the SourceForge link below people. The Gallery forums aren't working either because the site is being owned.
:(
Gallery 2
I have a gallery2 site too. It'l be nice when I can get enough bandwidth to get the full version of gallery2
Site (With default theme and ~500 pics): here

Good luck!
Well, the nice thing about URL rewrites is that you control the rewrite rules and can rewrite them to map to your new content.
I set that parameter on a vanilla install of MySQL 4.0.20, and website load times decreased by 80%. This site was doing about 5,000 hits a day.

My mom said I'd always go blind from other things. Nevermind....
How is your nephew now?
That's unfair to say. Revealing the killer's location was an option that a lot of admins had disabled in BF1942.
Thank you!!
Just because I don't look at them doesn't mean I don't download them. I have AdBlock set that way.
It's funny, thinking back to when I first used Win98 and saw all of that useless crap come up on my Active Desktop.
:)
Here we are in 2005, and I'm subscribed to 25 news feeds

Do you use any special devices or programs to reduce the strain on your wrists?
Yeah. It worked pretty well for Family Guy, but now Chapelle show has the market cornered for comedy. Oh noes!
