    I heard someone say that they heard the BWP was made in the same style as Clerks, and that they hated Clerks.(!!)

    This was their reason for not seeing BWP.

    Besides the obvious fact that this logic makes no sense, HOW COULD YOU HATE CLERKS?!?


    I told her that that was a good idea, and she should probably not see the movie. Or have any offspring.

    Why would the MS server necessarilly be getting more hits?

    Oh, gimme a break. Try posting some pro-M$ blather, and not getting moderated down as 'flame-bait'.

    I love /., and waste at least 2 otherwise-productive hours a day here, but I gotta admit that it's a slightly slanted group. (Pun certainly intended.)

    The reason no one's working as hard to get into the Linux box, as opposed to the W2K one, is the same reason no one here owns MicroSloth stock.

    I like my soul, and wouldn't sell it for anything.

    Even though they're taped before a live audience, they're still laugh-tracked. It's just added in post production or played right there in the studio.

    It's hard to find enough people to laugh in front of some current shows.

    No, no. I don't think you understand. It's ART. You're not supposed to understand, but rather feel it, on a deeper level.

    Cause, ya see, artists HATE being able to understand what the hell's going on with a web site. That type tends to thrive on confusion and misunderstanding.

    There was an intern in my company who was convinced that she had to use FP, and I can assure you that she found Frontpage to be just a tad more obnoxious than gum chewing.

    I didn't have to much trouble finding out how to get rid of that thing IIRC, I just asked it 'how do I kill the paperclip?' It seemed to work pretty well.

    WOW!

    I totally never thought of that. I spent literally hours, as I used 5 different RegEdit sessions, and it took forever.

    I'm kinda surprised the little monster helped you. If you were to ask "How do you kill SamIIs?" I probably wouldn't be the first to help you out.

    Do you think that if I came up with a site called Dotslash.org anyone would go? They'd try to split the market, and lose.

    Maybe someone will make an unrelated site using slashdot's code, like a site discussion the creation and distribution of water pools, called www.Splashspot.org, or a site discussing the saving of the Endagered Idaho Potatoe, called www.Mashstop.org

    I think /. is pretty safe.
