DUDE!! Please, please, please promise me you didn't just type all that. You had The Digital Diary of Anne Frank, or the Anne Frank Portal Site, or something, right?
I mean, I got your point and all, and I think it was a good one, but DAMN.
Some web designers need to learn a few very basic rules about web design before unleashing their monsters upon the unsuspecting public.
No, no. I don't think you understand. It's ART. You're not supposed to understand, but rather feel it, on a deeper level.
Cause, ya see, artists HATE being able to understand what the hell's going on with a web site. That type tends to thrive on confusion and misunderstanding.
>This really shows what Microsoft Frontpage can do!
Yeah, MSFrontpage can suck my a$$.
> Does gum chewing offend you? How do you deal with obnoxious > chewers/poppers? Share your worst experiences
There was an intern in my company who was convinced that she had to use FP, and I can assure you that she found Frontpage to be just a tad more obnoxious than gum chewing.
I didn't have to much trouble finding out how to get rid of that thing IIRC, I just asked it 'how do I kill the paperclip?' It seemed to work pretty well.
WOW!
I totally never thought of that. I spent literally hours, as I used 5 different RegEdit sessions, and it took forever.
I'm kinda surprised the little monster helped you. If you were to ask "How do you kill SamIIs?" I probably wouldn't be the first to help you out.
Yeah, right. Do you think that if I came up with a site called Dotslash.org anyone would go? They'd try to split the market, and lose.
Maybe someone will make an unrelated site using slashdot's code, like a site discussion the creation and distribution of water pools, called www.Splashspot.org, or a site discussing the saving of the Endagered Idaho Potatoe, called www.Mashstop.org
Clerks... Train Spoters... Great flicks
I heard someone say that they heard the BWP was made in the same style as Clerks, and that they hated Clerks.(!!)
This was their reason for not seeing BWP.
Besides the obvious fact that this logic makes no sense, HOW COULD YOU HATE CLERKS?!?
I told her that that was a good idea, and she should probably not see the movie. Or have any offspring.
Dude! This comment appeared somewhere towards the middle of the page. I read for 45 minutes before I read your post.
Congrats on the first "FIRST!!!!", though. Good job. I think I get the 1st post mocking you.
Have you considered installing a spell checker?
Yeah, thanks for helping this guy out. It seems he keeps hitting his 0 (#) key instead of his O (Letter) key.
I hope your fine journalism has alerted him of the error, and helped him to avoid straying from the path in the future.
Job well done.
wonder how long a basic program would last?
I was expecting to use punched cards. What is this new-fangled "basic" of which you speak?
HAH HAH! You refered to an html tag in your message, right? Hah!
Do it like <this>.
(That's & l t ; t h i s > )
Why would the MS server necessarilly be getting more hits?
/., and waste at least 2 otherwise-productive hours a day here, but I gotta admit that it's a slightly slanted group. (Pun certainly intended.)
Oh, gimme a break. Try posting some pro-M$ blather, and not getting moderated down as 'flame-bait'.
I love
The reason no one's working as hard to get into the Linux box, as opposed to the W2K one, is the same reason no one here owns MicroSloth stock.
I like my soul, and wouldn't sell it for anything.
To be fair, it seems that we should be doing the same to the crack.linuxppc.org box.
Da.
To be fair, I pushed the 'reload' button on the LinuxPPC page a few times. That should get 'em.
Oh, wait. It was cached.
I get 'no response from the server.'
/.ed?
You
You didn't happen to put a counter on that page, did you? Heh heh.
No Linux isn't a fluke. It's a fairly stable operating system for a lot of people. It has it's admirable qualities.
Dude, it was a joke.
Post less, think more.

read the law.
Um, which law. Gimme a link. Gimme a hint. Gimme something.
It's easy to assert your own forceful little view as an AC, and I'm eager to be convinced, but do me a favor and help me out a little.
Who marked this one up? I laughed out loud. Not often that you see sarcastic moderating.
I really think we should encourage this. Suppose it sort-of defeats the purpose of moderation.
Why was this marked OffTopic? Seems like a pretty linear conversation, and privacy law seems pretty in-line with spy equipment.
I can see it fine. I'm using Netscape, and 1600x1200 resolution. No small fonts or nothin.
So, some people have this comment graded up, since it's long, right? Wow. That's pretty funny.
Even though they're taped before a live audience, they're still laugh-tracked. It's just added in post production or played right there in the studio.
It's hard to find enough people to laugh in front of some current shows.
I think that question was pretty much covered whed we did the poll about work weeks. I'm never both home and awake for 10 hours each day.
Gimme a break. 10 hours?!? I'd love that sort of hack time at home.

It's their way.
IMNSHOBIK
Wow. I really missed that one. Anyone care to translate?
Wow, I hope you realize how monumentously stupid and bigoted that proved you are.
Man, I didn't know that hating specific operating systems made you a bigot.
Does that mean that people who try to crack micro$oft.com are commiting a hate crime?
I would easily say that most americans screw off 2-4 hours a day, and only have to work more because they do so.
/.?
Heh heh. How many hours a day do each of us spend reading

I think
I'm a Canadian - but I still believe in the 1st amendment.
I didn't know Canadians HAD amendments.
