The trader was not Egyptian, he was a trader from a far away land.

this happened in ATITD1, someone roleplayed raping a character. The developers did nothing, and let the players deal with it. We wrote a petition banning him, got the signatures required to put it to vote, had a public vote, and it was voted in, and he was immediatly removed from the game forever.
Teppy aka Andrew Tepper has actually referred to the game as a grand social experiment on a few occasions, and has been quoted doing so in interviews and such. It really is a social experiment of sorts. No combat, no PvP, nothing but social interaction. We write our own laws, develop our own ingame currency, etc... How is that not a social experiment, especially when the developers throw in trials and tests that test people's ethics and morals. I personally think it's amazing.
In the event, the trader was from a far-away land, not Egypt. He was role played as a trader from a land where women were considered property, and was just expressing his beliefs. And really, I don't see how it can be considered sexist since many males play female characters and vice versa. Another point that can be made is that there has been "sexism" in the game since it was first created, since female avatars have always been able to weave canvas and linen faster, as well as reproduce certain vegetables and vegetable seeds better than males. It's strange that only once the tables are turned do we hear the complaints.
I've been considering giving my first born a binary middle name... Soemthing that would be strange and different. Middle name so they can just drop it if they don't like it down the road. Would definatly at least be a conversation piece.

That might be impressive, but this is much more useful.
My take on military R&D has always been "why?". Why develop a helicopter that can fly sideways, communicate with drone vehicles, etc, when most of the people we fight are still practically throwing rocks at us... When is the last time we went to war against a nation with an actual air force? We shoot million dollar missiles at these people's mud huts... They destroy our multi-million dollar tanks with $100 left over bargain bin land mines and explosives. Obviously something isn't right here. It may be time to re-evaluate where the money is REALLY going.
My thinking on this is that if every human on earth were to spray two full aerosol cans into the air, we could produce enough greenhouse gases to completely insulate the earth, making it possible to move without dependence on the sun for heat or energy. I'm sure we could put some flood lights or something on the MADMEN for light. I am still working on getting funding for testing though.
People won't want to pay for something like this until it's happening. Why drop millions of dollars into this system now, when the likelyhood of an asteroid-earth collision in my lifetime is virtually NIL? I think i'm relativly safe, so i'll let the next generation worry about it.
I used to date a good looking chick who played DoD. I cry myself to sleep at night trying to remember why I broke up with her. I need to find another geek chick...
I think either actually. football, soccer... american football, whatever. Anything where a ball is dropped from the hands and kicked before it reaches the ground. So really, I guess you could punt in baseball as well, if you really wanted to.

Roll Playing Game? Would that be anything like craps? Roll != Role

if it was spam it would have been "Fr33 B33r" or "FREE B.E.E.R!" or something similar... thinking about spam makes me want to kill randomly.

would be more interesting to attach the MADMEN to earth and see if we can go somewhere. Where we are is getting boring...
sounds like a little movie I saw once... The Matrix. we're all fucked.
