Will Wright games flop because they are too out there or just not fun but they deliver what was promised.
Doesn't mean it will be a success but I think it is very unfair of you to compare Spore to Black & White.
In both cases, for what the game is, it just isn't fun. I'm not talking about failure to deliver features. You agree with me that Wright games flop because they are 'just not fun.' This game is just not fun because unlike Simcity, there are not the metrics or recognizable goals to it and its to amorphous. In simcity you can reconstruct your own town, try to go for high networth or high population, or whatever, but spore....
The game is way, way too unstructured in it's sand box design. This game is going to wind up being just like Black and White in that it has some incredible features but will fall flat for being just not fun or particularly competitive.
You heard it here first. And since it will be a flop, you are not likely to see it on any other platform.

Something people either forget or didn't have the sense to notice because it wasn't flashy was the AI. It was vastly improved in H2 and was probably one of the best - not only on an individual level but how the individuals worked as a group.

I don't know who you are, AC, but you seem to make this post in EVERY game story comment set that I read. Normally it gets the -1 it deserves.
Why would I ever need to do anything like that at home?
I can do all of that for FREE on a free throw-away pc. Anything with a web browser + logmein.com other than burn DVDs (again- never need to do that because I don't steal media off the internets).
Were it posted on a thread here, it would be modded -1 troll ('One man's opinion on console design'....)
But submit that -1 comment as story and it gets a green light.
A lot of work went into the design and shape of the 360. It actually has an intentional theme (though that theme is not so clear if you lay it on it's side as I'm sure most do). I do not know about the PS3, but I saw a vid on the designers working throuh the aesthetics of both the box itself and the on-screen interface and it's pretty fun and functional.
If you lined a bunch of these devices up in a row and asked a chick to pick one, I think the 360 would come away with a plurality.
