    I never understood the iconbox even though I have used it. What is it? its a place where minimised windows sit?

    if so then you have a kind of graphical taskbar but one that only lists minimised applications so you cant find a non minimised window to bring it to the foreground.

    It just seems like a poor taskbar to me.

    A 5th column within the Federation. Borne out of discovery of corruption and conspiracy in the higher levels of the Federation.

    I think one of the problems is they make the programme for prime time, so it has to be pretty unoffensive. They should make it more adult* imho.

    Enterprise is missing the strong different characters from say.. TNG.

    I liked TNG because it showed a good future where stupid humans don't fight everyone first and ask questions later.
    I hated Enterprise because it was exactly like a cowboy series... in space.... with a captain who sounds pathetic...who takes a fucking dog everywhere with him.

    Yes that sounds like a good idea.
    I sometimes think it could be good to add a comment to a moderation too like "cut and paste from other comment" so other mods and the person knows why.

    Hashcash is very interesting but, like videophones, requires both parties to be able to speak it. This doesnt prevent software supporting it but it does make it hard to become a "wanted" feature.

    It is the best solution I have heard so far, I have to say though that the web site doesn't do it justice. The text is hard to read and they should have a nice diagram to help explain and sell the idea.

    My sister is a relative newbie to email and stresses about spam - shes installed something for outlook express to help. She doesnt like her young daughters getting porn spam.

    My friend who is no nerd by any stretch emails me asking how he can stop getting all the spam he does.

    In short, you are talking total bollocks.

    I run debian woody and can do apt-get update,upgrade but that wont update the kernel will it?

    Don't forget that journalists regularly get call information of celebrities from BT, same with private investigators.
    They get caught occasionally but what about the times they don't.
