He said its a "stripped down version of the mozilla browser" which is not true, it is (or shortly will be) THE mozilla browser.

I think the page you link to hasn't quite been updated to be consistent with the recently published roadmap.

Get a clue "wwn" in the url doesnt somehow imbue the reader with knowledge about where the story comes from, neither does the logo.

No, you miss the point entirely.
Phoenix (now firebird) is the name of the browser in the mozilla suite.
If you are going to claim others are missing the point ensure you know what it is yourself.

I guessed it wasn't real when I first saw it a while ago, while I am not from the US I happened to remember what the WWN is. For anyone else they have no reason to not believe that either its true or yahoo are aiming for the entertainment end of news reporting.

So in short, do you think everywhere in the world that can access yahoo can get the WWN? The internet isn't US only you know ;-)

Tabs in a browser get more space on the width of a monitor. For me that means the 10 Explorer windows & various project windows I have arent competing for space on a single start bar.

Using Mozilla, I liked phoenix but found mozilla could retrieve cached pages faster and i've switched to its mail client too now. In fact its the only decent free IMAP client I can find for windows.

You want it to remember tabs when you have just closed the application?
Do you always want it to?
I know I dont want it bringing up the 15 pages I was surfing last night when I open it the next day!
If you want to do that you can bookmark a group of tabs and open them at once.
With mozilla there is even an "undo close tab" option in case you accidentally closed a tab. When reopened you can even use the back button on that tab to go back through its history.
