  1. Sin tax on McDonald's UK CEO Blames Video Games for Childhood Obesity · · Score: 1

Well if the major media companies can get the public to listen to this FUD then they can increase your monthly cable bill as a quasi sin tax. "You have to pay more to offset the cost of health care for the fat children affected by the violent video games." Oh crap I forgot, don't give them any ideas!

*Yawn* Friends don't let friends read PC Magazine. Just more FUD to feed the stupid masses. *Whaaaa* Vista wont run on my 8086 with 256mb ram! Its 2007 buy some new hardware and move on with the rest of us. What makes me laugh is they called that list an article! Stupid is as stupid does.

  3. Re:If you bypass physical security, it's all over on California Testers Find Flaws In Voting Machines · · Score: 1

Most of us here know how much of a joke these machines are. They MUST have a paper trail for every machine or I can alter every vote that has been registered on a single machine with a simple degausser. *Poof* no votes stored on that machine and I didn't even have to open the case! Better yet its irrelevant if its Linux, Windows, or even plain text/encrypted hard drive. Really the only thing that will stop this is as you said surveillance or a paper trail. Its true you cant affect a large number of votes this way but you can affect some votes (and at times a few votes altered is enough, even if they are just removed). What if me and 9 friends went to 10 different polling stations in democratic neighborhoods and wiped just one machine at each location, how many democrat votes could we affect? Its stupid but there are a great number of political fanatics out there and I wouldn't put it past them to do something like this if given the chance.

    Let the conspiracy theories begin!

Cant you get naked DSL where you are? I have DSL without having a landline at the house. Now all I use is a cellphone which I can turn OFF whenever I want. As far as these scum bag telemarketers go, my favorite line is: caller: Can I talk to the person responsible for your long distance service? me: Sure what is your credit card number, the name on the card, and the expiration date on the card? caller: Um, I wanted to talk to the person responsible for your long distance telephone service. me: Sure thing, just tell me your card number, the name on the card and the expiration date. caller: ..... me: Go ahead and give me your card number. caller: *click* Muhahaha! One of these days I'll have to setup my own pbx. I honestly don't know what annoys me more, solicitors or faxed solicitations. I've resorted to reporting the fax spammers to the FCC's website, seems to stop the fax garbage. -Reby

What a waste of time. I suppose the bottom feeders like lawyers need jobs too though. What's next? Prison time for somebody that released sale ads on the internet...oh my, the criminals out there have gotten hard core haven't they?! I'm sure glad I pay taxes so we can keep these dangerous criminals behind bars, now if they'd do something about the clowns so I can sleep at night.
