I hate to rain on your parade, but this is someone who is only doing their job. Yes, they interrupt you at inconvenient times, but that doesn't give you the right to harass them. I get phone calls from banks, local newspapers and various other companies trying to sell me things and I am unfailingly polite to the other person. Annoying or not, people still have to make a living.
You can't go down to McDonalds and start harassing the cashiers there, so why should telemarketers be any different.
Maybe we can watch her finally get some acting lessons... =P

"The downside of HT is its effect on the cache. Because you have two unrelated threads running on the same CPU, half the cache (or so) will be used for each thread. In effect, this halves the size of the cache for each thread. This isn't the end of the world, but it will require larger caches as time goes on. Of course, that's typical, anyway."
Actually, I'd read somewhere (arstechnica I believe) that the current generation of Hyper Threading processors don't control the cache at all. The threads access the cache simultaneously.
I can try to find it, if you're interested.
Well, it would be feasible for any computationally intensive tasks like folding, where it takes a long time to work on a single, relatively small work unit. A few minutes to download a work unit, a few hours to process it and voila!
Of course, finding a suitable project that you can make money at would be hard.
Well, the first run of the DVD just shows you what everyone saw in the theatre. Then they start flogging all of the Super Black Market versions to try to rope in the hardcore fans. Yes, it's a money grab, but if you only want to see the Matrix there's nothing wrong with the original release.
Or wait for it on cable.
Don't feel guilty, they called you ... remember?
