Not ALL of our public schools are terrible. What I went to back in the day was a great school, and still is. They taught me just as much as a private school would have, and they have plenty of both advanced and remedial classes. Anyway, I'll assume you mean the inner-city schools and such.. My point is, don't try to say all our public schools are terrible. The area I live in is not rich by any standard, but our schools are great. My *question* is.. compared to what? Certainly not 75% of the world.. Not terrible compared to Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, most of Africa, South America, and so on..

Our education system IS one of the best..

In one way you make sense.. No one wants to be watched every second of their job, but these cops are NOT being watched the whole time, only during the 5-10 minutes they're having to interact with someone that's probably broken the law.. Cops can still goof off and buy some donuts, talk on the phone, or watch pretty girls(or guys should they be female cops) from their cruiser window while they're parked or driving around waiting for something to happen.. Most cops are not in an out-of-car situation 100% of the time on the job.. More like 25% from what I see..

It was where Lucas was comparing himself to Peter Jackson, he said something to the effect of (if not exactly) Peter is making three movies out of one book, and I [Lucas] am making nine movies out of one book. At the time I didn't see many people commenting on it, maybe I just didn't look hard enough, but it seemed really weird..

It could, but it won't. The industry has nothing new to sell, you have to have something people want and are able to buy to be successful. This was the major problem with the original IT burst in my opinion.. Rather, why it crashed.. Anyway, they're mostly hiring people in other countries where they don't have to pay them shit (Or else they'd be hiring right here where they're selling a huge majority of their products).. This isn't the rule, just a thought, but it seems to me that IT-oriented people by IT products.. They hire people in other countries, that can't afford their products.. They try to sell it here in the USA, but the people wanting to buy stuff aren't employed.. I'm all for sharing the wealth, but the way things are going.. We aren't actually helping *anyone* by outsourcing.. I mean do you really think Nike sweatshops are helping any economies? No.. The industry is dead until people want and can buy the products for sale..

Uhm.. Howso?.. I mean sure, there's the case of older brother or dad or mom or whoever leaving the game out or something, but hey.. Maybe the adults should pay some freaking attention to what's going on in their house.
Other than that.. Have you seen the price of console/pc games lately?? From tetris like games to GTA3, you're looking at around $50 a pop.. Young children running around unsupervised with $50 to buy whatever they want is a problem itself. I mean seriously, you wouldn't let a kid buy $50 worth of candy and ice cream, so why do you let them randomly buy a game?.. I do believe that bad parenting is a huge problem in the US.. I really don't see minors indulging in GTA3 as much as you might believe.. Regardless of this "major gaming site" you speak of.

Sometimes there is just an appeal to being the bad guy. To me, I don't think he's that great of a *writer*, but that he has some pretty good ideas overall. I mean, Episode I & II even both had a good IDEA, but to me he just wanted to fit too much timespan into three movies and ended up losing a lot of detail and such.

Casting abilities really sucked though, I always wonder how he got such great actors in American Graffiti and the original StarWars, but got a bunch of crap in the prequels.. It's almost as if he thought the prequels wouldn't work without bad acting..
