You are correct. It was the assassination of "The Engineer" by Israel. I saw it too.

Perhaps you can explain to me how eating meat causes impotence? Without knowing if this is even somewhat based in fact, I have to go with CBS on this. Would you want CBS to run an add stating that a vegetarian diet can cause a reduced lifespan? No, probably not, because there is little scientific fact to base that on either. This is why I don't like PETA. Not because of their views (everyone is entitled to their opinion), but the questionable methods they use to promote their views.
And yet even as I read this you are moderated "4, Funny". If I had any moderator points I'd give you one to see if it would skip 5 and go to "6, Funny".
I didn't know you could moderate as Anonymous Coward. But seriously, you make a good point. You can post at almost exactly the same time as someone else and get moderated redundant. Of course the purpose of moderating redundant is to prevent other users from having to read the same thing twice. Please don't take it personally. Its happened to most of us at some point or another.
I beg to differ. Lawsuits such as this, whether good or bad, add to the total cost of employing US citizens. Hence IBM will move its manufacturing to a country with fewer lawyers.
Actually, IPv4 is a 32 bit addressing scheme allowing for 2^32 or a little over 4 billion addresses. IPv6 is a 128 bit scheme allowing for 2^128 or 3.40e38 address. That is the current number raised to the power of 4. I hate to link to the enemy but it is the only place I could readily find the info.
...if they changed the name to Absolutely Free Lossless Audio Compression...then they could do tv commercials where this duck wanders around quacking their acronym...oh wait, already been done.
Hopefully, none of us would "back Linux if a better opportunity comes along". I use Linux because it is the best product for my needs. If a better open source product came along I would not hesitate to adopt it.
Maybe if less people thought that throwing things away was the same as destroying them, we would have less identity theft. Bottom line, never count on anything being destroyed that you do not personally destroy. MOABs work well for me.
"We think it is appropriate that we warn commercial companies that there are intellectual property issues with Linux," Chris Sontag, head of the effort to derive more revenue from SCO's intellectual property, said in an interview. "We sent it to the Fortune 500 and effectively the global 2000. It ended up being about 1,500 top international companies."
It was in this context that we recently received your "Letter to Linux Customers." Many Novell business partners and customers apparently received the same letter. Your letter compels a response from Novell.
So who was the idiot at SCO that sent the "you're a bad Linux user" letter to Novell?
Looks good...Thanks for taking the time to inform. I wasn't trying to crack on your site, but rather the news media that didn't bother to cover the topic until now.
I realize the articles might be new, but the last code release was 9-29-2000. There is a message at the top of the page from Sept 2002 promising new code soon. This probably would have been even more impressive over 2.5 years ago.

Article dated May 2003. Old news. Thanks for wasting my time, but I guess if I was that worried about wasting time I wouldn't be surfing /.

There's another one of me?
Wine coolers are insightful?
So if you were to buy one of these licenses... when SCO loses...do you get your money back?

Amen, brother. No news here. The emergence of NAT has dramatically slowed the rate at which IPv4 addresses are being used up.
post as an AC ...
Not only does he give you advice, but he shows you how to do it too.
Thanks for the fix. The twitches were really starting to get bad.

They'd lose their Lexus.
At >$100K/yr you would think that they wouldn't have to share one. They could each buy their own.

I don't have to. SCO admits it.
SCO's site still lists IBM as a SCO Alliance Partner.

My body is almost 30 years old. Its still running too. Well somewhat.
