So, a giant meteor crashes off the coast of a continent that has some of the strangest creatures on the planet, Austrailians. Oh, and think of all the weird animals there too.
The thing is, oil companies at this point have to know that as soon as people can find a reasonable fuel source to power their cars, they're going to jump on it. It's in the best interest of the oil companies to start researching ways that they will continue to make money.
Drinking it doesn't prove anything. I remember watching informational ads from the 50's showing people spraying CFC's all over things to prove how safe they were. Hell my dad was telling me about a friend of his who was a salesman for some halon company or something similar and would consume the product to show how safe it was. That same friend later died of cancer of the throat and gastrointestinal system. Just because it doesn't kill you today doesn't mean that it won't kill you or the planet 50 years from now.
I've used Monster twice.... once in 2001 and once a month ago. Both times, headhunters and companies alike began contacting almost instantaneously. The last time was amazing, I had heard stories of cut backs at my current job, and decided to search. After posting, I had a new job within 15 miles of where I lived in under a month's time.
I thought that the Matrix series had potential, but I was extremely let down by the Reloaded, though Revolutions almost redeemed that. In my mind, they should have stopped with the original. It stood much better on its own than the story line created after the addition of this year's movies.
What the...? So, you are flaming this guy because he states that he thinks a game is horrid? I tend to agree with him, but would never flame someone for having their own opinion on the matter, even if they liked the game. Oh, by the way, will the Linux port of this expansion be ready before June of 2005?
The author may be referring to the VW Turbo Diesel, since they get great fuel mileage, and hence is a viable alternative to the typical gasonline powered engine.
I could see a future in using this technology combined with some glucose monitors to help diabetics to keep their blood sugar under control without needles or external monitors. With a simple implant, an individual would be able to live a completely normal life.
Look, I file swap, but it is still illegal to trade copyrighted material. Everyone that trades files knows this, it is just that they don't care. It's just like speeding, it's illegal, but it doesn't matter until you get caught.
Actually, it would be more of a reason for them not to crawl out of the various holes at ORNL to eat lunch and talk to themselves.
Oh my, I need to get out of Oak Ridge:)
True, I work on projects for the government. They would rather spend money by dicking around, so that they don't get their budgets cut the next year, rather than to get their projects done.
I agree with you that about the price of Linux, but there's obviously something more there than an operating system. They may have had a need, that their bureaucrats didn't see and open source solution for.
Oh man, finally a movie to put a Beach Boys song in.

Yep. That way they could actually utilize the power of the machine.
How many pollocks did it take to acheive this?
Yeah, you beat me to the flaming. I was going to point that out.
