is so incredulous.
I think the underlying problem is everyone thinks Microsoft is a technology company.
It is not.
It is a marketing company, and that's all it is.
OS independent codec? I'd be happy as heck.
Every time I get another machine running, it won't play half the movies that are out there.
On windoze, WMP has to contact server for codec. How many times "cannot download" screens pop-up in your face.
Fortunately, I've found a little (Well, 6 megs) called Nimovs codec pack. It installs about 20 different codecs.
Someday, a standard may be in place where all people encode with one great codec.
And I used to message my friend 2 1/2 miles away. Unfortunately, there was a big problem.
People started to turn green in the 50 houses inbetween.
I was lucky to find out before the authorities did, and dismantled it.
be a distinct memory. I always had a love of science. All different kinds. Still an astronomy buff now. Reason for my post.
I remember in 5th grade, the exact details elude me, but for some reason the teacher asked the class what we'd like to do. The rousing cry was "GYM!" I muttered "science". Teacher looked at me and said "haven't done that in a while. Great idea." (Did I get shit from my classmates later for that). I wound up leading in the discussion, and wowed a couple of the kids. I remember distinctly "how do you know all this stuff". Why I remember that day so well... I don't know. This post actually brought the memory out and I believed it was relevant.
Thing I know is that science was not a major concern then. Probably hasn't changed.

MAME on X-Box
·
· Score: 1
(A few years back) And didn't this is great news. Now I don't need to bother. Right now, using my laptop with TV-out as a stopgap measure.
Presently, dreamcast is starting to run many MAME supported games rather well. MAMED
(Hope it's not/.'ed.:)
I too was not planning on X-box, but if it can do MAME, It's mine. With a 733 CPU to run most games at full speed, hard drive to store the roms.......
This is great news all in all....
Why in four centuries do people think earthlings will become "noble" and so compassionate?
We have the "prime directive" ya right. This is the real scenario:
We would be flying around, see a planet with ore, minerals, resources we want. We'd push the primitive civilization out of the way and take what we wanted.
Also, we wouldn't be goofing around with Romulans and other enemies having battles. We'd kidnap one of the little buggers and unravel his genetic code. Once that is accomplished, we can send a surgical strike virus or chemical to obliterate the race.
Another way, infiltrate the planet, and with one anti-matter blast obliterate the planet. (At least blow the atmosphere away.)
Another is the nanites. Disassemble the people on a molecular level. See ya. Your planet is ours now.
Talk about viewing heavenly bodies. Yummmm.

What will the kids do for gifts when he crashes?
At least in my company, the first person to send this out (company name to remain anonymous.) was the CTO
This is not a lie or an exaggeration. Our companies CTO was the first damn fool to send it.
I'll now read the rest of this thread to see other replies.
Cool little screen
The kids may be getting a GC instead of XBOX now.

From Long Island, looks like I either have to buy a boat to go into the ocean or drive 120 miles.
See you near Monticello, NY Sunday morning!
"What happened?"
"You used miles. It's kilometers you idiot!"
The /. magnetic influence apparently caused an influx of charges to decimate the site.
I have a netgear router myself, and have locked it down pretty well with the advice I found.
All your PC's are running at HZ not MHZ all this time!. We've just been telling you and your damn fool BIOS otherwise.
And you believed it! What suckers! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I'm never one to stand in the way of progress.

With G-Force.
That ruled.
I love technology. I have no need for another.
What about Gilligan and the castaways?
