At least you weren't a "switcher". I use mozilla for OSX here. The keyboard mappings dont' exactly match the PC, though I prolly could force it somehow.
it's amazing how slashdotters, a large mass, dont' talk about iraq much. it's a whole can of worms, where everyone will say something different, but if we agree on even the smallest point, slashdot is a mass to at least be heard.
Isn't that like saying, the car industry has too many models? If you don't like OSX or W2k, try something else. Try windowmaker on vms or fvwm95 on hpux.
Granted, growing up on windows breeds windows users, growing up on other things doesn't breed windows users as well.

Forgetting RPM's and apt-get/dselect, what about the/usr/lib dir? Instal 2 different versions of gdk, get something like libgdk.1.so, libgdk.2.so
Unix does the same thing. Granted, unix systems are a more well put together, so that windowmaker doesn't distribute gdk, where Forte Agent probably distributes some pretty standard windows libs.
Both are messy.. but unix does the same thing.

Which "Linux GUI"? TWM? Sawfish? WindowMaker? KDE? Blackbox? Fvwm? Fvwm95? AfterStep? Enlightenment? Ice? wm2? ctwm? cde? hackedbox? openbox? zwm? mosquito? ion? swm? Oh.. you must mean the 'command line'.
