Here's the breakdown FTA: "Suppose you want to find where you can drink the most romantic Mint Julep in town, or where to find the cheapest key cutter. You enter your request into Yelp, then nominate some friends who you know can be trusted not to jerk you around, or who really know a good tip. This much you might have already done, for sure, without Yelp! but like Evite, Yelp! takes care of the rest of the business. If your friends can't come up with the answer, it will then tentatively try friends of friends. Yelp! takes care of mis-spellings, and plugs into a directory at the back end, giving you an address and a map. And, overtime, becomes an authoritative information source."
It will probably become quite effective once the useage gets high. Sign me up.
"clearly, Microsoft should be backing off its predominance."
how is that running a successful company? i'm not trolling, but what would any business person do? Please don't say "write secure software" I know, just making a counterpoint.
"other oses are secure enough to NOT NEED IT" ...for the meantime. Other OS's have the luxury of a very small market share, and thus are not the target of attack. If OSX were #1 I'm sure the attacks would be just a fast and furious. is the responsibility is on the company then?
Hmmmm. If they end up with a product that works as hit-and-miss as Babelfish, wouldn't that jeopordize the correct translation of legalese? Are you still bound to the original mumbo-jumbo if you only understood a flawed translation? Doesn't seem feasable. Why not just dumb down the actual legal language?
I was just about to write a pro MS defence post to stave off the oncoming attack. I just re-read the article. I quit.

There is a significant air cavity in an extended accordian. Presumably, when dropped, the accordian would extend (if not locked in the compressed position) and act like a parachute to a small degree. This would probably slow the accordian enough that it would fall behind the banjo slightly; and once they reach terminal velocity it would not catch up. The banjo should hit the ground first. Just a theory.
"actually preferred if they sit at their desks and do nothing"
Hi there. I work for the government. I work in IT. I rarely get to see my seat, let alone sit in it doing nothing. I'll let you know the next time I get a coffee break, or lunch for that matter. Perhaps a sweeping statement like that should be thought out a little better. Cheers.
It couldn't have been that much of a stretch to add a DVD player could it? I'm sure all the other features are great, but when I think of mobile entertainment, DVD is 1st on the list. Ahh well I can't afford it anyway, so it's back to work.
I have a little spare karma, so I feel like venting.
You didn't get an answer as earthstar so take the hint. Or learn how to use Google.
Either way, beat it.
Seems more like a scheme to keep the public in the dark should there be a successful attack on the telecom infrastructure... If the public doesn't know...it didn't happen.

Sorry, this is sorta ontopic...kinda.
I tried running Wofenstein on a Win Server 2003 box, and it says "Could not load OPENGL Subsystem". I updated the video drivers (ATI Radeon 8500) and still no love. Is there an opengl install or driver or something I can set up to get this thing going? I know this isn't a how to forum, but any help is appreciated. I have googled around, but can't find what I need. This isn't my specialty, and I've got a bit o' karma to burn. In fact, if you hit me with some helpful info, I'll send you a gmail invite. Cheers.

I think the meaning there is something other than it can't be built in. I'm sure old Bill can find a way, non?

I accidentally just dropped my BB 6280 and it broke into 12 peices! Whatever will I do? Hey boss! I have an idea for a replacement!
