umm, how is this any different than having a 24/7 dialup connection (or at least close). PPP on demand would do just about the same thing as well.

Broadband is great b/c I don't have to wait 5 mins while my porn comes up, I don't have to wait 15 hours for my whatever.tar.gz to download, and I certainly don't have to worry about my roommate stealing all the bandwith downloading MP3s.

Even if 28.8kbps can support full motion video you can't do much else while it is downloading.

I don't agree. There is absolutely no reason that someone should be denied access to a drug just b/c some company wants to make profit.

AIDS is a real threat to EVERY single fucking person in the world. I don't think that the treatment should be limited to those that can afford expensive health care, have unending funds, etc.

Some of these people contracted the disease w/o doing something (fucking, sharing needles as was mentioned above) they were born w/it, were pin pricked at work, whatever. Are we really going to not allow these people a chance b/c some company wants money?

I don't care what anyone else says. Drugs that can save lives need to be seriously reduced in cost (why the fuck does a prescription cost $100+ for a few pills)? I think that these companies are worse than drug dealers trying to rip you off.

Netscape (the latest 6.whatever) works well, it rarely crashes (once since I have dl'd it), it is fast, and it loads the pages that I look at just fine.

Mozilla has frequent crashes and is ungodly slow for whatever reason.

Opera. UGH. First of all it is horribly crowded, 100 things going on at once, and it crashes when I try to load just about any page.

I don't know what the hell the guy is talking about w/the load times. I have DSL and it takes only a few seconds to load everything.

No matter what they come out w/I will still prefer the TRUE gaming experience of the older shit. I cannot afford at $299 pricetag, nevermind a $whatever+.

AFAIK a lot of college aged kids were quite a bit of the buying force out there. I cannot believe that they would want to jack the price so high and put most of us out of its range (especially when you just bought a PS2).

If you want to win the market, you have to draw everyone. I would say that the price needs to drop a bit (along w/the prices of games) -- sorry, I don't have $55 for a game. Beer > Games.
