    I wonder how many application that potentially could be on Apple Store but didn't make to it because of Apple disorganization and overall fascistic attitude regarding iPhone development would end up on community application portal. Just an example ... there are a lot of iPhone developers who applied to program, got approved but (get this) were not able to pay $99 for certificate because Apple Store is not available in their country. How moronic is that, Apple?

    Actually, TM uses FSEvent framework and does require fseventsd daemon.

    Under Leopard, you can wipe your disk clean, put in Leopard DVD and reboot... one of the first options would be to restore system from Time Machine backup. With this tool, what is the point of including /bin, /usr etc. in the backup if there is no system restore support in Ubuntu installer?

    Why? Small example from the top of the head - cropping. Ever tried cropping in gimp? The fucking crop box pops up exactly in the center of the screen, right over the image. Looks like the idea of moving this box out and preserving it position has never occured to gimp UI developers...

    No. You cannot see the color of the peripheral object because the cone cells, which are responsible for the color vision, become sparse towards the edge of the retina.
