I think spam filtering should be left up to the user.
There are plenty of client side systems that work well; I use Apple's Mail. Maybe 2 spams a day gets through to my main inbox (out of several hundred incoming spams a day).
I used to use GeekLog for my personal site, and it worked pretty good. I've since moved to a combination of phpBB, and an addon for it called phpBB_Fetch_All.
The advantage of using phpBB is you can easily expand your site into a larger community or something in the future.
I always figured iTunes phoned home either every time I started it up, and it never bothered me.
The only thing that would bother me is if it wouldn't run without being able to phone home, since I spend a lot of time at my cottage without the internet (the horror!), but it still works fine after going a couple weeks without connecting.
When Challenger was built, it was originally planned as an alternative Enterprise demonstration model. Would it be possible to modify the module to act as part of another space station?
This happened to me with my Predator 2 DVD on my Powerbook. The dumb thing is that I exchanged the DVD, and the new one had the exact same problem at the exact same spot on the DVD.
I'm not sure if that's a problem with the DVDs, or if my DVD player is extra sensitive to the defects, or who knows what. I've never had any other problems with any DVDs before.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Americans are crazy.
Reminds me of when people were buying parachutes in case they had to jump out of office towers. The chances of anything happening to 99.99% of the American population is 0.
Not a bad scam though.
I don't play any MMORPGs, but from what I hear, they are all pretty badly made, with all kinds of bugs, glitches, lag, etc.. That right there would discourage me from remaining in character if I played.
Hopefully Blizzard's World of Warcraft will be of much higher quality and they will take steps to encourage role playing. This will most likely be the first MMORPG I play, and I look forward to some real role playing. I hope they deliver.
It seems I spoke too soon. A good 20 spams just got through my filter. >=(

The people at the top are the ones who tried to cover it up.
I don't see the democrats torturing people in Iraqi jails. I see mindless republican killing machines doing that.
They said its time to get Mr. Bush and his Nazi party out of the white house.
My Macintosh is simple and intuitive, yet I'm also very productive with it.

Too bad they don't have a native Mac version. =(
Doesn't everybody? *confused*
Apple just doesn't get innovative software handed to them from a magical gnome cave
Actually, now that you mention it...
How so?

And look what happened to Challenger...
It was right at the beginning of the first chapter, about 30 seconds into the movie.

I would love to have a Pepsi branded mini-iPod.
It looks like a spider crossed with a skateboard. I wouldn't drive that.
"I ain't got time to bleed." =P
What kind of geek are you? You spelled "Worf" wrong!

I thought part the GPL was the copyright holder giving permission for people to make copies, etc..
IIRC, X-Plane has only been available from X-Plane.com and X-Plane.org for the year or so.
I haven't seen it in the games section anywhere for quite some time.
Maybe you're just a really bad pilot.
I've been using X-Plane for about... 7 years now? That has never happened to me during normal use.
It only happens when I do really stupid things, the kinds of things nobody would ever be dumb enough to test in a real plane.
Is buying larger generators and hooking them up directly to the building's power grid an option?

Says on their site that the Mac OS X version should be out soon.
Looks like fun.
