So does this make ivtv, lirc, etc... much easier to install. I bought a PVR-350 (tv tuner and tv-out) and a 160 GB hd to setup a multimedia center. The server (my primary computer) has the 160 GB hd, MySQL, and master mythtv backend. The client is a 450 MHz computer with the PVR-350. If it works well, I will buy another PVR-350 and put it in an extra 400 MHz computer. Quite scalable. The current problem is getting ivtv to compile properly.
When you think of it, the windmills are producing energy, which kills birds, which other animals eat, which turn into fossil fuels, which can be turned into other power sources. They should be subsidizing them!
If you read it, all it does is define copyright law, then put a little bias to it, and then lie that RedHat and the open source community want to eliminate "patents and copyrights". They creatively place the word "copyrights" right next to "patents" every time "patents" is mentioned. That way, the truth kinda intermixes with the falacies.
"Red Hat has aggressively lobbied Congress to eliminate software patents and copyrights."
The link they provide mentions nothing about copyright (except the fact that the article/website is copyrighted. SCO just flat out lied in their "open letter".
I thought that they would have one camera, but take the 196 pictures the same time of the same day every year, so it would take 196 years. Because the shadow needs to be in the same place.
Except from black-white to color, it is a change at the viewer's level. A black-white TV will still work with a color signal. Cable TV was/is an extension to bunny ears (which is still better quality). People could still use their existing technology without missing a heartbeat. Larger screen TVs is again at the "end user" level, like the black-white TV.
Switching to digital is switching over the analog cable TV to digital cable TV. That affects everyone, because the backend is changing. Now it could be painless if the FCC foots the bill (or most of it) on analog-digital converters for everyone, otherwise 2006 is unlikely. But a date must be set, otherwise a backend switch will not happen. It is like when fuel-cell cars actually become feasible; in order to get them going, the government will probably force gas stations to have hydrogen pumps, otherwise fuel-cell cars will not be bought (no fuel), so no demand for pumps. What came first, the chicken or the egg? The government will force one to come first, so the other can happen.
But IIS is free! After you upgrade to Windows 2003, after you upgrade your HD, after you upgrade your processor and RAM, after you upgrade your motherboard, after you install 3 200 MB "service packs".

This states in plain text how Microsoft just implemented an idea differently. That doesn't make a patent valid. Patents are for NEW ideas, not new implementations of ideas.
IBM buys SGI. Just as a way to piss off SCO without bending to their whim.
How is this not bending to their whim? That's like buying SCO. It only solves the direct problem with SCO. What if Microsoft comes along and wants to invalidate the GPL at a later date?
When it starts to fall, you will surely hear SCO making some other wild accusation to drive it back up. Why else would you think SCO is saying nothing right now?
Don't spend more money than you need to. Case Western is a great college for computer anything. The only point in GPA or the college you attended is to get your first job, after that it doesn't matter. If you have money, go to Carnegie. MIT being the best at computer engineering is BS.
But just like us men think when see attractive women, "she looks great, I want her". MS is catering to the public that don't see the truth behind all that makeup and female anatomy.

If you put a light at the end of each propeller...no wait, they might think its a car.

The production of solar panels (mining perhaps) kills animals.
So are you saying that they will patent the organization of the development of Linux?

In a few years, makeup artists will be the highest demanded job. Programmers? Now's your time to meet some chicks.

PSX is PS2+. PS3 is PS3. But yes, PS3 will be a DVD player/recorder, PVR, and game console. Hopefully it will be blue laser DVD...
The concluded that "pico" is the best.

I think you meant: What if the French won a war
But you must remember that this is the same company that said XP is "the best thing since sliced bread".

Or you could just look for SGI in the changelog, and investigate for yourselves what lines were changed.
