Ah but here is the trick how much interest will you get back versus how much money you have to pay out. What happens when the IRS wants a $2,000 check from you and give you only a couple of weeks to pull the money out? savings account aren't worth it so you have the money in cd's, however cd's can't be emptied that fast. So not only do you lose interest but also have to pay fines.

No I would rather pay a little more today, and once a year get a nice check from the IRS. Then i can put the entire check into a cd for the next year. I get more interest on it, don't have to worry about where to come up with money to pay the IRS. Since Interest is based on average daily balance, having a larger balance to start with is smarter, than putting the $20 a paycheck into interest and having it accumulate far more slowly. As interest is only paid on what is in the account at the time, Not the total worth of the account at the end of the year.

it makes sense for companies, and people making more than $300,000 a year, for everyone else it is far to large of a risk. I know several people earning 100k plus that have been burned hard your way. suddenly having to come up with large lump sum payments to the IRS. It is a lot more manual effort for very little reward and tons of risk.

Not really. most people I know hate their cell phone as they can't use half the features as the interface is clumsy at best. I hand them my iphone and they really start to understand how to do things.

Andriod while it is open is still not very consumer friendly. It does have the best chance. True user friendly interfaces, are more than the buttons you push, but the whole of the system. it is designed from the ground up to put the consumer before the features.

In general that is how Apple designs products, that is why apples switch from computer maker to consumer electronics is going far smoother than Dell, which merely started by repackaging some one else's design.

Custom OS's tend to do one or two things really well. BeOS, Inferno, etc as they fill gaps their creators saw a need for. While they all have good features, It isn't just features that are required but the ability to use them.

Mass transit systems fail in all but the largest of cities. There is a problem. Not enough people spread out over to great of an area. Growing up my school was 20 miles away. The nearest store was 6. When i started working I literally had to drive 50 miles a day 6 days a weekk just back and forth to work. that is no other side stops.

Now I live only 8 miles and 15 minutes from work. However if I wanted to use mass transit my travel would cover 20 miles, and take over an hour to do so. mass transits systems require the majority of people to live in a small space. That isn't the case in America. America is simply to spread out for it to work effectively. Maybe when we double our current population will it make more sense.

Until such a time cars are more efficient for the tens of thousands that travel back and forth going in thousands of different directions at different times.

Simpson Springfield is a nice example. the trolly only goes in circles. that is the case in many cities. Invent a hoverbus, that flies 50 feet off the ground and it might change.

Look at wikipedias page on the 2008 election. Some one made a county by county breakdown. Every blue county in by is a city. However because cities have many more people the popular vote doesn't change things.

The electoral college only shifts the break downs differently. Personaly one should have 65% of the electoral college instead of the 51% now required. Heck even 55% would ensure ones has to have both popular and electoral.
