If the state law requires a doctor then that law is discrimating against same sex couples and is illegal by the equal rights act because it would require same sex couples to pay a doctor many thousands of dollars for unnecessary artificial insemination treatments which means the law is designed to prevent same sex couples from having children unless they pay huge amounts first.
Then you are arguing that same sex couples should never be allowed to have children, because it will always require someone of the opposite sex to assist with creating the child and if that other party will always be a legal parent of that child then same sex couples can never really have children legally. That is wrong.
They had signed legal documents with the donor's name and address. Had they chosen to withhold that information and the state found out I'm sure the same sex couple could have been found guilty of lying to the court or fraud. Even if the donor chose to donate annonymously through an attorney I'm sure the attorney had the information and would have to give it to the state.
Virgin Mary story would have lost them benefits from the state. This is a story of the Govt controlling who can have kids and who can't and one could even argue it's discrimination by the govt, because by saying "all your signed legal donor contracts are worthless" the govt is essentially saying "sorry lesbians if you want children you better pay $20,000+ for artificial insemination from a doctor" and requiring same sex couples to pay $20,000 or their child isn't really theirs is a great way to prevent same sex couples from having children at all. With the court ruling the father is still legally the father in this case means any same sex couple who had a child without artifical insemination could face a custody battle someday.
Regardless of how pro-technology I am, they have valid points about the Congo and rising rent caused by google's self-driving cars spreading their high-earning workers into lower-rent neighborhoods.
did you read their closing argument?
"We are the counterforce and you might be too.
Disengage from the capitalist economy to the best of your
ability. Create autonomous areas where the laws and rituals
of capitalism are ignored. Do not look back at the flickering
lights. Develop ties with your neighbors. Defend the land.
Use your position in society—whether as a felon, a barista,
an immigrant or whatever your experience—as your starting
point for your revolt against it. Have courage. Find others
who feel the same way and block a tech bus. Steal from the
techies you babysit for. Take down surveillance cameras. Go
hard: The time is now."
Sounds to me like they want to go out and live off the land like some sort of 1800s pioneers. I don't know what political party that would be, but they don't like capitalism, sounds like they want everyone to work equally and to share everything equally. I guess that's communism?
Interesting they mention felon, barista, and immigrant (legal? illegal? who knows). No mention of doctors or police, guess in their new "society" there is no need for medicine or security but they need coffee and crime?
According to one of the sources in the article this is still just a concept, not an actual product that exists. When it's a real product then we can get excited, but for now it only exists in photoshop.
You don't speak for everyone. Since Plex is transcoding the video Plex can be set to make the streaming a certain bitrate no matter the resolution, so I get 2mbps no matter if it's 720 or 1080.
But the google nexus, which many people believe is the best android smartphone because it's being offered by google themselves, does not offer expandable storage and only offers a maximum of 32gb compared to iPhone's 64gb. Also many android smartphones don't offer storage that would surpass 64gb even with maxing out the external storage.
Exactly right. They are still selling android smartphones and tablets with version 2.3 from 2010 which is essentially useless, and many devices have android installed that aren't mobile devices like a washing machine which really shouldn't count towards android devices sold anymore than a toaster running windows 8 should count.
No, that's not leftist or liberal, to say that it is not fair that millionaires are paying no taxes while bus drivers are paying ten percent. Conservatives believe the rich should pay taxes too. The difference is liberals think the rich should pay much higher taxes so the money can be given to the poor and the poor should pay little or nothing.
According to the Wikipedia article you linked to, no country has a firm meaning of what right or left is: "The terms left-wing and right-wing are widely used in the United States but, as on the global level, there is no firm consensus about their meaning. "
Mac hardware lasts longer, but the OS goes out of date far faster than PCs. A ten year old Windows XP machine can run all the latest browsers, but Apple updates OS X every year so a 2004 Mac can not run 2014 Firefox, IE or Chrome.
You think the govt needs to hack the car to kill you? I'm more worried about the govt being able to track where every car is, since once they're driverless the next step is to allow them to communicate with each other, and if they can talk then the govt can see where the cars are.
As for who's responsible when a driverless car crashes it will probably be the same as when a dog kills someone, the owner of the dog is responsible. Just because the owner wasn't operating the wheel doesn't make them any less responsible, but just like we have learned to trust cruise control and drive by wire gas pedals to not suddenly accelerate, we will learn to trust driverless cars.
But how will cops be able to tell drunk drivers if the car is driving? And does it even matter if they're drunk if the car is driving them home?
So simple: put passwords in safe with three combo lock. Give one number to three different people you trust to be around for life. Don't tell them who the other ones are. Tell them if something happens to you to come forward and tell you that they have one of the numbers. One all three numbers are known figuring out the order shouldn't take too many guesses. Or laptop with fingerprint reader, hopefully you don't lose memory and fingers
Nothing compares to Obamacare. There has been no law that forced citizens to sign up for a govt program or face paying a fine in the form of extra taxes and if you do not pay the extra taxes face jail time.
No. Actual poor or people on welfare can't even get a free phone from a carrier because their credit score is too poor. So they're left with prepaid phones. Prepaid phones usually do no have data plans or they're so horrible expensive that they're unusable. However texting is rather cheap on prepaid plans, so I could see how someone would be txting, and there are prepaid smartphones for about $50 now days.
Stop? When did people start using foursquare? I've never used foursquare and have no desire to, and their gamification seems rather obvious. Is this a last ditch desperate slashvertisement?
For those that don't want to RTFR (read the fucking reference) some band use to put at the beginning of the contract that they wanted M&Ms in their room and then at the end of the contract put all the brown M&Ms must be picked out. If they arrived and saw the brown M&Ms they knew the contract was not read and would check to see what else was forgotten and/or cancel the show since the contract was not followed.
4 months or 25 years, Aaron could have done more good alive in jail than dead. Death never solves anything. If you're going to die then die fighting for what you believe not by suicide.
Exactly. Until someone is willing to exchange something of real value or cash for a crypto currency then it is still worthless. I can't even find someone to give me real money in exchange for bitcoins.
Ok it's not perfect, but this is a lot closer to a consumer available street legal solar car from a big manufacture than we had in 2013. Imagine what we will have by 2020?
