Getting out of your bedroom and going to meet real people in person. Not over the internet!
I had a myspace account for a little while. I deleted it about 2 months ago in disgust of how Tom kept adding himself back to my friends list!
It's because all the old foggies at the BBC were to busy drinking earl grey breakfast tea to worry about what year it was. So they were "i'll have another sugar cube" instead.
I have a 1984 Corola Sedan which has been broken into 5 times since my possesion. I've had it approximately 5 years. First time; passenger side window smashed, nothing stolen, Second Time; Window Jammed Down, nothing stolen, Third Time; Screw Driver Jamned into keyhole, nothing stolen, Forth Time: Windows Jamned down...
And the 5th time, I just left it unlocked to see how many people I could attract.
And guess what, because it's such a piece of crap car that no one loves (except me) I still have it.
I guess after all that testing on tracking peoples pets during the 90's has moved on. Now we must track out most addored pets, our own family. I'm sure this will come in use when the 40 year old Alpha male wishes to track his wife, who is bored and dare i say "tired", when she is out with her friends for a meet up at the country club. Because he is scared she might sleep with one of the divorced members on the trot.
If there is one thing that computers have done for society is to create more paper work, more clutter, and ultimately more jobs. Technology, is, a day of the life of most people. We live it, in the 60's they didn't. They didn't even know what a PC was, computers in cars, weren't even thought of yet (not to my knoweldge). But on the hindsight, i absolutely agree. I know one thing about the American Culture from living there for about 2.5 years (being an Australian and all). You people get 2 weeks paid holiday per year on average for full time work. We get 4 weeks! I do believe that the USA should first, change a lot of things along these lines. Maybe then, people will work better, faster, and computers will be used for more and more methods than what they are currently used for; Creating more paper.
I'm tired... I believe i might even be in there for sending an email to that address. It really amazes me that people don't have a care in the world to about what they post on the internet, who they send it too, what harm it does, and how many people it might hurt. I've seen too many Live Journal's in my time that are just all about slanderring and nothing more or less than that. I guess it's like the MSN news site says about that site www.tired.com is that people just want to be in the spotlight, or share there story's whatever the case. I'm tired of people that want this to happen to them. There is more to life than living/ wanting to be in the spotlight, isn't there?
I'm sure this will be a godsend for all the pr0n website owners out there. They were probably looking for a better way to show there "free trials" on their sites.
Another Arthur C. Clark moment, he has come up with so many amazing inventions in his chronicles. The satellite, now this... Actually I'm not sure if he did come up with the idea, but it was in 3001. So if you want to read about the theories of space elevators. This is the book to pick up.
The Social Problem exists when people become to reliant on technologies like mobile phones. Most people didn't even own phones 10 years ago. Think about it, how did you go about your day to day life then. Everyone is saying this same thing inreply to all this. It's all very true. People if you are going to have a Mobile Phone, show some respect for your fellow movie patrons, or like another Slashdotter said... Stay Home and rent.
It's all good.
If your job is so important, then i guess "All work and no play makes Joe a dull boy" applies here for you. Serriosely if you job requires your assistance even when your in a cinema... and you can't escape for a measly 2 hours, get a new job.
I will be wonderful when the adhear this technology in movie cinemas so that the wankers sitting behind me who answer there phones during the films, can't take their "important calls".
So very insightful indeed. I have recently purchased about 3 copy protected CD's. Air's - Talkie Walkie, Radiohead's - Hail to the Theif, and actually don't recal the third. All three of these cds burned perfectly fine using CDEX.
DRM is a waste of the consumers time, and even more of any annoiance for the people (like me) who actually purchase music and then rip it onto there computer systems for the purpose of using it for iPods.
the company i work for actually goes to the point of making sure they keep the hdd's that are previousely used from old employee's these hard disk drives are never thrown out or sold. it's bad practice. have an it guy, saying "yeah that's ok to sell" is probably the it guy thinking, "oh who cares, the ebay loser buying it doesn't know how to do what i know how to do".
i live in queensland. and those things have been talked about for years...
if your game enough to use them why not use one of those water jet things that you hold onto would't that be easier
rofl
yeah it certainly had me for a minute. until i read it. then for some reason it made me think that today i actually parked my car outside mini in the valley. and dam, they are pretty nice cars.... lol
