KGB used to be just like this, no privacy, could not say a word without cosiderng the consecquences. and it seems like your FBI is turning in to the same tool.
While doind some real work they are terrorising their own citizens.

I wanted to raise a question, there is a word called "Freedom" what exactly does it mean ? freedom of speach ? is that it ??

This is a cool idea, but would it actualy work ? Any slight vibration would cause liquid to vibrate which is not a very good thing to have in the lens. unless it's somewhere on the satellite. but would it work without gravity ?

you are absolutely correct ! I used to own so called IBM compatible which had that processor. It was exact copy of the original IBM processor also (Sinclair) Z80 was an exact duplicate of an original processor. At the school of electronics they even teached me how to do this! Almost everething I know of is copied from something. exept AK47.... which kind of looks like a 1 German submashinegun. but not the same thing inside. anyways, It's hard to believe that Soviets would just "PlugAndPray" with that software. even we did such dumb thing, the computer networks were isolated from outside wold. till this day Internet in some places of ex soviet republics is a luxury thing.

Lack of parenting is doing the job. Also the parents themself should be an example to their kids. MTV, and Moovie industry is basicaly promoting violence. RAP gangsta music and moovies in which people are being shot acting like nothing happend are redicilous. banning this would not be a solution.

  10. Re:Not for kids... get a grip on GTA Violence, the Media, and the Gamers · · Score: 0

I was raised in the similar maner, only in a different country with different education. The guy who was knocking on your door was probably someone from "Social Services" to take you away from your parents for staying home alone. :-) This would sound strange, but, American kids have too many rights, or flip it the other way "Parents don't have rights anymore" cant even spank your kid legaly anymore! what the hell is that! Anyway, It should be up to parents to decide when and what their kid can pay, watch,or shoot. And banning games, or such things as blood gore violence in it would be violation of YOUR rights, rights that your ancestors were dying for.

    from the news:
The only difference to the end user was that in the unsecured version, the hacker could alter the program and view the data; in the secure version, he could not.

    It's a challenge ! :-)
This may look like great security solution, but it will end up cracked just like everething else was. man in the middle attack, and brute force will never be absolete.

First of all, Iraqi army is a bunch of dilettantes.
Would not use GPS since they weren't trained to use it and rely on their own maps.

Second, as far as I remember Russian T9X tanks would not use US GPS satellites and would rely strictly on Soviet based systems. (logically we would not make tanks that rely US technology)
that could be disrupted by a flip of a switch!

Third, I don't think that Russia would want to sell the most recent models of tanks since it has latest technology secrets "Even I don't know what they have now in those models" it's not even shown to us - Russian engineers.

American GPS Satellites are downgraded probably to prevent Terrorist attacks such as 911
because GPS device vas used by those as#h@les to navigate an airplane.
there are many other things that civilian gps could be used for on US soil.

I think that Military has all rights to downgrade or shut down the system without asking us.
"We are paying our taxes to military so they can provide security of the nation. not to use their technology" don't ask those guys if you can borrow their M16 or some nuke to warm up your room. same thing with the satellites.

I may be wrong about this but we are lucky that we got access to GPS at the first place.
