419 scammers are not only from Nigeria. I used to work for IP-Relay(look it up if you're confused) and there were scammers from Egypt and Cameroon as well. Or at least with IP addresses that resolved to those countries. Does that mean all Africans are scammers? No. Does that mean that Africa doesn't deserve Internet access? No. It does prove that a large portion of that continent has serious problems that should be addressed first, or at least concurrently.
...that many users will feel 7 will be the best Microsoft OS in the series, though many will feel nostalgia for Vista. Then 10 will come out and sell the most copies.
No, this campaign is already an expense for the RIAA. They never intend to actually make money from the lawsuits - it's a PR stunt. Download Madonna and get sued, that sort of crap. So this just makes their campaign slightly more expensive.
Gamespot is not run by the ESRB. They have trailers online. Are they saying that the publisher must tell these gaming sites to remove all traces of their trailer? What if Gamespot says 'bite me'? Perhaps they can't. But what about uploads to YouTube? What about copies posted on Bob's Gaming? These trailers are meant to spread like crazy - they're commercials after all. One would think that the ESRB should tell the publishers their fate before their trailers get in the wild, 'cause I've never heard of Dark Sector but you better believe I'm hunting down the trailer as soon as I hit Submit.
Stretch Panic wasn't that bad. It had issues, yes, but at least it was different, which is more than I can say for a lot of games out there.
ShaqFu had nothing to do with Delphine's demise. They made Fade to Black(which I remember as being pretty successful) well after that and Wikipedia says they didn't actually die until 2004, officially anyway.
Nah. Most phishing attempts would show up in the status bar if you're looking for it. I think most people who would fall for simple phishing schemes wouldn't know the difference between dumbass.com and dumb.az.
I dunno. I think the feds can get to your computer even if it's offline. Better get out the jackhammer. Oh, um, hold on a sec. Some of my tinfoil is coming off.
If security is this bad is it too off the wall to suggest that this may have been done before by people who have it in their best interests to keep quiet about it? Scary stuff.
Exclusivity sucks. The more even the 3 systems are in sales the more even the game releases get. If we can all just buy one system and get all the games we want, even if one version is slightly better, this is good.
I expect to see more of this, too. It really has little to do with the success or failure of any one system. It has more to do with the insane development costs games are amassing. If you're spending $20mil on a game is it really that bad to spend another couple mil to port it?
How many times do I need to read that statement? Generation has nothing to do with system capabilities. Nothing. The Wii is the system Nintendo made after making the Gamecube which means it is the next generation after the Gamecube. This would be true even if it had a 1Mhz 6502.
...and the Gamestop employee explodes

Game Canon. Isn't that a new unit in the new expansion?

It's not a bug it's a...wait, what?
Nuts to that. Let Al fund his own research.
...is that now it only needs to be $100 cheaper before I'll buy one.
True, but unfortunately PS2s aren't exactly a paragon of reliability either.

Um...you do realize that 90% of the 2600 games sucked too, right? It was worse then than it is now.
Oh, come now. I know Visual Basic has its detractors but I doubt it's actually tried to kill anyone.
Now, I'm not an advocate of random sex, but I would rather see 100 teens have reckless sex than see one go on a reckless killing spree.
Rainbow 6 and Zombies and Vampires...Damn, would I buy THAT game. :)

Because there is no money to be made by saving the children.

How would blowing up a router help us?
...they WANT us to download things off of P2P.

Am I the only one who sees bad things coming out of bored college students setting up roadblocks?
Jack Thompson's insanity is far older than TakeTwo. Remember the outrage about Body Count's Cop Killer song? That was Thompson.
