So true. They've gotten to the point that when I google a problem, I immediately scroll past the experts-exchange.com links to try to find a real solution.
Or do what I do, add "-site:experts-exchange.com" to my search criteria. The search won't include links from that domain.
And there's a lot more hardware than just the base console for retailers to sell...3rd party controllers, skins, faceplates, etc. I'm sure they have a better markup than the actual consoles.
Supply and demand, it's the law in capitalist society.
If you want something that's in high demand and short supply, you pay for it in some form or another. Systems are available without bundles at MSRP if you're unwilling to spend the time to track one down. If you're not willing to invest time in that, your next option is pay more cash for it.
For the record, I picked up my system in bundle form at Costco for less than the retail price of all the components, and I didn't get stuck with any crap. Xbox 360 Premium set, extra wireless controller, rechargable battery pack & charger for said wireless controller, and PGR3 for $490. I walked in after work about two weeks ago, and they had about half of that day's shipment still available.
I've had that problem when locking down user PCs in my office. I can't count how many hours I've spent using FileMon and RegMon to locate the directories and registry entries I needed to update in order to keep the user below local Admin level.
GTA is a game that consumers purchase voluntarily. If I don't want to steal cars, shoot/kill people, and deal in other illegal activities in virtual manner from the comfort of my private residence, I don't buy the game.
Spammers tie up network resources and hard drive space with unsolicited advertisements for products that typically don't work as advertised and services that are never rendered. I end up paying for the resources used by spammers despite the fact that I don't want those resources used in that manner.

There's a reason why Consumer Reports buys all of their products for testing through normal retail outlets.
Are you sure you're not confusing Alfred P. Sloan with Alfred E. Neuman?
What, me worry about global warming?
How can I gain access to that huge bankroll, too? It does sound great!
Seriously. I was a geek in school too, but I KNEW I was, and I grew out of it.

I hear Uwe Boll is already working on a film adaptation of that one.
How do you do a bad job? According to Bob, there were no mistakes, only happy accidents.
Heh...that comment doesn't bode well for Sony's marketing department.
Yeah, if I was at Sony, I'd hate to see my brand recognition amongst the dead take a nosedive.

Wait a minute...you're telling me they turned homosexuality into an epic staff for priests? Freaky!
I showed up at 6:30 last night, and I didn't see any such class, much less a fruit tray!

Microsoft bought out the original developer, but it's theirs now. Imagine that.

If so, must I imagine a Beowulf cluster of them?
