Most readers of Slashdot are introverted, basement dwelling, pale skinned, nocturnal beasts - the prospect of a spouse who makes them get a haircut, put out the trash, and stop dressing like a slob, is probably the most horrible thing imaginable! Run away!
Communist China steals our IP and infiltrates every major American corporation. The NSA is there to protect American interests and maintain a technological and strategic edge over rivals. This is the cost of remaining the sole superpower in the world. So people give up the semblance of privacy, in exchange for global dominance of American policy - a fair trade.
He can run, but he cannot hide. South America is American's backyard. There will be no safe harbor there. Any country that shelters Snowden in SA will feel the full diplomatic weight of the great Empire breathing down their neck.
Then why shouldn't the government have complete access to your data? Honestly, we use Google, Facebook, ect... they all have detailed records of our activities and identities that they aggregate and sell for profit. Yet no one protests, as they enjoy the bread and circuses of free Facebook or YouTube. If people started to take their privacy seriously, to attribute a value to their individuality, then maybe we'd get somewhere. The internet is a cesspool, assume everyone is watching. If you don't want your secrets known, protect yourself. We are still in the stoneages of Internet development, imagine what it will be like in 20 years! Wake up people! Take responsibility! If the NSA doesn't get you, Chinese/Iranian/Russian/ect... hackers will.
It's the Middle class that has traditionally had little choice in dealing the 'middle men', ie. salesmen, dealers, ect... Those of the 1% have their own private networks and make their purchases at or below cost. So much for consumer choice eh?
The only reason why the drone is piloted by a human is because the AI technology hasn't yet caught up. Give it ten years and these drones will pilot themselves.
...who believe in conspiracy theories, is that no amount of evidence will change your mind as you are not a rational person. Thankfully, people like yourself are in the vast majority. One wonders what a persona such as yourself is doing reading a site like Slashdot in the first place. Or are you just here to troll? A sad existence either way.
I have a constant ringing in my right ear, and little bit in my left. Thankfully its not so bad as to drive me crazy, but its always there, in the background. In other words, I no longer have a sense of true silence. I blame wearing a shitty pair of headphones with the volume too high while exercising. If only I knew the damage I was doing!:/
The Germans were using a new tactic never before seen in modern war, the Blitzkrieg. It took a good long time for the French, English, and others to figure out a way to counter this.

Looks like someone didn't renew their Norton Anti-Virus subscription. They warned you!
The US Government does not take kindly to martyrs.
Yet, the mainlanders run Hong Kong, including their secret police.
...with a big red bow on his head, for you see, China and the US need each other. And accepting defecting spies is a faux pas among world powers.
Must be nice to run a multi-billion dollar corporation that makes barely any profit and spend money like a drunken sailor.
Yup, and we all know that the BIG car dealers are the sacred cows. Tesla is up to the fight I wager....
