Exactly. You cant get that information from just reading the headline, which kinda reads in reverse from the truth, therefore lots of uniformed posts. People do not have rtfa time anymore, and links to the article on slashdot is really redundant. Submitters should just put up the headline and be done with it.
I also dont see any reason why there cant also be a starter edition for windows 7. Its not something I will ever see or have to use, but there are regions where it will sell fine and people will be happy. Of all the reasons there are to hate microsoft, i dont see why this is one of them.
what bill gates releasing bugs onto his captive audience??? nothing new here
although this could make for a nice trademark for all his future appearances. like gallagher's watermellons.
the real pros who want to do safe business use closed regional forums where all users are rated and identified between each other and le is hounded out of the system. this is where they will go more and more when CL starts to get too risky, and thats good for both sides of the business.
this is alot more to do with the decline of humans then with a human product appearing intelligent. we are sounding more and more like sad attempts at conversation every year.
Aahh okay then. In the first statement he says the tall building clock ticks faster then the ground clock, in the second statement he says less time passed for the clock in the plane meaning the clock ticks slower on the plane clock then the ground clock. You are saying in both cases the ground clock ticks faster. I think what you are saying is correct, the ground clock ticks faster, I think his first statement about the tall building clock is incorrect. His paper is invalid, the whole theory is now shot, next story please.
but ill believe this is a vr world when someone gives me the nude patch.
"Gravity slows time: An atomic clock on a tall building "ticks" faster than one on the ground."
"...in 1962 one of two synchronized atomic clocks was flown in an
airplane for several days while the other stayed stationary on the ground. The result was, as
Einstein predicted, less time passed for the clock on the plane."
These two statements contradict each other, or I don't know how to read, which is it? Also, is there some way I can get more work done by moving my office to a tall tower, or to an underground lair? Thank you.
im just curious in case someone is bored enough to explain this to me. Who modded the posts here as trolls? I'm finding that if you look for it, there are actual trolls here and there on slashdot who throw in crap, often not on topic, that specifically insights fighting and complication. The two posts I just read above:

These are two very brief, fairly positive observations about the users experience with the topic posted. Theres no fighting, theres no controversy...what makes them labeled as trolls? My request for an explanation of this moderating is 10 times more a troll then these two posts.
my wife is chinese but born in america, and very dislexic. We often wonder if she had grown up in china instead of america she would probably be reading a language that was easier for her brain to process. Can airport security use these to infiltrate and scan luggage, clothes, and people without knowledge.
Can nanobots patrol the womb and prevent impregnation or maybe even std?
Can a cloud of nanobots work together to clean airborne illness, flu, or whatever out of the air around sick people.
Can a cloud of nanobots be dispatched to infect or disintegrate a person.
Will nanobots be used to monitor and control the population.
Knowing that stimulating certain parts of the brain has a direct reaction to a persons thoughts and feelings, will nanobots be used toward mind control?
Can i put 100 nanobots on separate remote controls into a small hand held maze and play deathmatch.
Can i put 100 nanobots inside of a classmates body and play capture the flag with my friends?
our 2 landlines were through ameritech, everytime I talked to those people about problems with my service, they would order repairs, but then try to sell me onto a new plan, or recalculate more current plan to try to give me a 'better' deal. Half the time I'd end up with a higher bill. I cancelled all service with them and got two cells. Why did I wait so long to do this? Why hasn't everybody else? Probably because they still use modems, or live out of range. So far I've gone a year without telemarketers, and that alone was worth it.
in my country it is illegal for a government to hold someone guilty because of the color of their skin, or the existence of their skin.

my day is now complete.

We'll have a proof as soon as the CERN guys turn on the LHC.
And if so we will have a remarkably short period of time to write a paper about it.
