While working in the helpdesk here, I had a customer call and had an issue where she could not get online. I got the TCP/IP winsock reset, got her online and had download Spy Sweeper, Stinger, CWShredder and run them. Spy Sweeper found on the first pass 65000 (yes 65 THOUSAND) items. removed those, and rebooted to Safe Mode and turned off system restore as some items had embedded themselves there, and rebooted again. 3 hrs later she was good to go

  4. When BBS Ruled the World on Tales from a BBS Junkie · · Score: 1

I remember running WildCat, Renegade, and then RA 2.02 which I still run to this day from time to time. All I have to do is unzip the BBS into the directory and away I go. Doors, Message Boards and the works. Mostly I run the open sourced synchronet.bbs as it has a slew of features previously only found in the MajorBBS back in the day. Man I feel old just thinking of BBSes and that was not that long ago really. I remember doing bong hits while downloading. You could damn near drink a six pack of beer while downloading anything good.

You need to go back to History. The Chinese virtualy wiped out the Mongols, Tibetan Monks. Koreans, and Vietnamese were also killed (you are dumb if you think other wise as it is known (excpet to the people of China) that they were/are heavily involed in the Communist state of South East Asia. The USA may not be choir boys but to compare to the Chinese we are not that bad (if you are Chines then the only thing you know is what your party tells you).
