the big boys'll get their contacts in high places to stall him with nitpicking requirements changes while they get their own version approved, for twenty times the unit cost... $2000 a suit is far too cheap for the big boys to make a profit on...
but if you're in business that depends on perfect formatting...close doesn't cut it. Bullets change fonts, line breaks change, pages don't quite fit and tables just get screwed up.
haha... why are you using word then??? word is extremely unpredictable between different versions and throws things off just changing printers on the same machine...
switch to OOo and for that matter, why not OOo on Linux... the training costs for the upgrade to Vista and/or office 2007 might as well be considered as similar to those for switching away from the proprietary lockin and moving to truly open formats for your data. Then you will have jumped off the upgrade treadmill and will be free to upgrade at your own pace instead, when you want to rather than when outside pressures force you to...
there was never any chance the OEMs were going to choose the N edition over other editions... Microsoft applied no volume discount to the price per copy for the OEMs as opposed to the volume discount for the "proper" version
Therefore no OEM went for it... that and the fact that they weren't going to get market development funds for it either...
This is purely conjecture, but it is the most likely scenario given that the OEM agreements are the most closely gaurded secrets in the entire world...
However, the Linux of today seems to be as far away as ever from realizing the expectations of mass adoption we once had for it, without significant growth in home usage since the late 90s.
I know Linux is taking off. Tesco has finally admitted a Linux magazine into their limited range of computer magazines in my city... this means that the sales of the magazines are good enough to warrant the shelf space... which means there are sufficient Linux users out there to generate demand...
of course they are basically uncountable because the vast majority of them will have bought their machine with windows on it in the first place. This means that they were all counted as windows sales...
This method of digitising a position has been basic instrumentation technology for decades... It's obvious to one skilled in the art... fer hecks sake, my old XT had a joystick card that did this RC timebase measuring thing... and that was back in the 80's I think I might still have the joystick card in my bits box... mind you, I don't think there's been any old 8-bit card interface compatible motherboards made for ages either...
I'm thinking of using one of these to "print" icing designs onto cakes... better than using those "inkjet" printed sheets... just hope no tosser's patented the concept... It really annoys me when patents these days appear to be for ideas rather than implementations...
yup.. I'm pig sick of hardware not working after kernel updates. Going to Ubuntu Dapper from Breezy lost me DVD burning... I daren't "upgrade" to Edgy for fear of something else more vital breaking... and I've pinned my current kernel as well, as I'm sick of having to re-install nvidia and VmWare every security update...
I really, really wish they'd go back to the "proper" even stable, odd development cycle. Distros had a chance then and could backport what they wanted from the development tree.
lucky beggar...;) my best chip is a 2.4GHz Celeron D... I thought it was the bee's knees when I got it and also found I could run that hacked OSX 86 on it... now I'm considering a full upgrade on my box... or else building a better one from scratch. Just as easy to build from scratch and pass the old one down to my grand-daughter to run Edubuntu on... she loves using that when she visits.
The answer is a resounding "no". He is free to travel by foot, bike, motorcycle, car, boat, or other device himself while not violating applicable pedestrian or traffic laws, or by bus or train, entirely anonymously.
for how much longer? How soon before being required to show ID when crossing a State Line? How soon before being required to show ID when checking into Hotels/Motels? How soon before being required to check in with the local police station when you intend to stay somewhere more than a few hours? How soon before having to get written permission before you can travel more than so many miles from your nominated place of residence?
Slippery slope people... they'll nibble away at your "freedom" by adding little "reasonable seeming" requirements here and there... all in the name of protecting you from terrorism/saving the children from pedophiles/whatever the current "bete noir" is...
woah boys and girls and other non-determined gender orientations... I'm afraid there is a small but significant risk of harm to the mother and/or the unborn child when you take samples of amniotic fluid... too risky? not my call... but there is a risk.
but I'm going to return it because I think it should just produce the music I want to hear when I hammer at it like a retarded orangutang
I'm learning Bass... I have the Bass for Dummies book... I play enthusiastically... I play all the right notes... however, they're not necessarily in the correct order...
Super Karamba gets taken out by buggy widgets. If you get a well written widget then Super Karamba can run for days on end... but some widgets fall over if you try to run them for days on end... I've usually found that those that regularly change their background (like weather apps) fall over if they're changing the background while KDE is changing wallpaper (if you've set it to regularly change or just happen to be applying a new wallpaper at the wrong time)
Plasma will provide the next generation desktop experience in KDE 4.0. It is planned to integrate three separate applications namely the Kicker (Panel), KDesktop and Super Karamba (Widgets) into a single application. And the surprise of all things is that it will be possible to run the beautiful Dashboard widgets of Mac OSX in KDE 4.0.
I like things as they are with separate applications. If Kicker hiccups and falls over I can relaunch Kicker, if Super Karamba falls over, then I can simply restart Super Karamba, if the desktop falls over then I can restart the desktop... if the "all in one app" Plasma falls over, than what??? do I have to restart KDE? I don't want flaky Super Karamba widgets threatening the entire desktop... and I only want to run Super Karamba if I want to, not by default...
Hold on to the other copy of the letter until Jan. 15th, after the new congress, when we're having everyone send them in. (next wave will go to a different, more impeachment friendly, congress person in March. Stay tuned.)
That's right -- to make a big impact, we're having everyone send it in on the same date (Over 350,000 downloads so far representing over 1.2 million mailings). We hope to flood the congress with sacks of mail and cause a newsworthy event to further pressure them to act on the memorials. Although, it's important to keep in mind that in the 1830 precedent, impeachment resulted as a result of a single memorial. Yours might be the one.
No wonder he wants to open mail without a warrant... he wants to stop these "memorials for impeachment" getting through...
the tubes are really gonna get filled up now...
You must be new here...

that is one heck of a wasted piece of terrain... wherever you look it's part of a crater...
you forgot Internet Explorer... completely unnecessary on a server and completely unremovable...
Therefore no OEM went for it... that and the fact that they weren't going to get market development funds for it either...

is it no longer required to get full speed out of qemu then?
the ones with any sense will be using stolen identities... so how would you explain things if your credit card number comes up in this search then???

just as soon as I get back from the patent office...
a much better link
