  1. Re:Anime?? on Must-See Films at L.A. Anime Festival · · Score: 1

I'm just beginning to get into anime, and it's fantastic, visually impressive, detailed and some (not all) have amazing story-lines. It does seem rather over the top to have a category just for anime or just for the matrix, but anime is extremely popular on the net (and is probably considered by many to be 'nerdy', a category on /. for it is fitting. And the matrix is one of the most (if not the most) technologically innovative films ever.

  2. Re:How do these places survive on Games Workshop Tries to Crack Down on Internet Sales · · Score: 1

The stuff they sell costs tons, I used to collect them until I realized what a total rip-off these things are, they're fairly well crafted, but the "rank and file" of your army is made out of plastic, only the "special units" are made out of lead, and can cost a hell of a lot for the larger pieces. There aren't many 'small time' collectors, most of them buy a hell of a lot, fairly regularly. Hope this answers your question about the income (though in light of what they're doing I guess the point is that they're not making much).

I know this device isn't quite a PDA, but it's closer to it than the gameboy is - the nokia n-gage is getting closer to uniting a mobile, PDA and portable gaming console (http://www.n-gage.com/n-gage/home.html). But imo the two will exist side by side, just as gamers often have both a console and a gba (for example.

  5. KISS on Google Vs. Yahoo: When We Last Met... · · Score: 5, Insightful

56k users don't want to load adverts etc. while Yahoo says they're going to use text ads mostly, they're still going to have them (if related), google is fast even for narrowband. While Yahoo seems to be still concentrating on how much profit they're making out of their search primarily, and secondarily on their users, google seems to the other way round.

http://www.habeas.com/index.htm is obviously the homepage for the firm, it says in the news there that the second lawsuit is against the following: "Dale Heller, Stan Stuchinski (BigDogSecrets.com), and Clickbank, a division of Boise, Idaho-based Keynetics, Inc"

I think a lot of people will have to become more aware of linux, and those that are aware, but not particularly tech savvy less daunted by the reputation linux has gained before "average user applications" like spreadsheets and wordprocessing can be dominated by linux.

I realize that this project isn't intended for launching sattelites/large payloads into orbit, but would a scaled up version be capable or are the weight/thrust ratios too low for large payloads?

What about northern europe? I.e. britain and skandinavia, I couldn't find any diagrams of the theoretical effect if the rockies weren't there. Britain and Norway both are said to have mild weather due to the gulf stream (or were previously said) I wondered how big an effect the air convection due to the rockies has on these countries.

When I was living in Munich there was a digital meter in town that showed levels of different gases in the air on that day, when the ozone was high, I noticed that my asthma would flare up.
