This is indeed an outrage on Metallica's part. Metallica has had much success and that success is only made possible by fans. There is no possible way for them to be successful without fans. This band has been through alot to get where they are and I understand where they are coming from and can see why they would be upset about there music being downloaded. But now they need to go all the way. They need to sue all buyers of blank video and audio tapes as well as people with cd burners. Maybe they should sue anyone they catch humming or singing their songs while going about there day. After all, those people didn't ask permission before reproducing there music. Don't get me wrong, I'm a very big fan of Metallica. But when they started acting ridiculous I lost all respect for them. This is truly one of the most ridiculous things ever done by band. And what is funny is that this will obviously blow up in their face and recording industry is going to sit back let them do it, because their whole mission is to make money off them and many others.

I had the opportunity to use one of the I-openers yesterday. I was getting my oil changed and the place had one for customers to use. The software continued to lock up and the proxy server that netpliance's ISP used couldn't find a thing. After several reboots I finally made it to a website and it took forever. I believe embedded Linux is the best thing that could happen to those machines. Cool little gadget, that's for sure.
Pretty soon they will claim all rights to inventing the wheel or maybe even for creating the earth. And you know that many people will beleive it. I have to give it to Gates though. He sure know how to run the BS-meter up.
I don't care to watch it anymore after they got too indepth over the alien crap. The alien thing is played-out. It appears that they must be running out of ideas. They should cancel the damn show.
You can expect alot of trouble as a result of this bill. More cracked sites, hacked PC's, and Doss attacks.. The government knows how to piss off miscreants and put more work on itself. Just another bill passed by the clueless.

there is something you can do about it. Don't go with a suck web hosting company. Colo is a good way to go so that you can do it yourself. However make sure the company has zero downtime for an extended period. Approximately 2 years without downtime is a good start. Our company das done it so why can't others?
So where and when will I have to go to, to get my chip installed under my skin or where is my ear tag? What is the address the concentration camp that we will be reporting to? Whoever had the idea for this, better yet, whoever has the desire to implement this idea should be hunted. I'll get my cammies and polish my M16-A2 ready in the eent that we find out who.
You may want to inform Purdue that they have no reason for a commercial domain. And if they are in it for commercial purposes then maybe the NCAA should be notified. Also, you had the domain for serveral year before cybersquatting became a big issue. It may have been different if your domian was purduepeople.org, but even then just because of the amount of years that you have had the domain. Maybe Purdue chicken should take legal action against the university or maybe the university should take legal action against them. Either way it's really stupid and it sounds like they are getting involved with something they know nothing about and their lawyers don't care because either way they get paid to piss people off. I was say talk to the dean before you go spending money on a blood-sucking lawyer. Good luck!
I have a friend who is the same age and went into the IT industry almost 5 years ago and is now working for a small business ISP(not very small for much longer though) in Atlanta making 48k a year and is about to get seceral million in stock options when they IPO. I joined the navy a couple years before he went into the industry and I got out a year ago and have been in the IT industry for less than a year and I am making 30K a year and will have stock options in about a year with the same company. Neither one of us have a degree and the only formal traing I have is from the Navy in the medical field. The only telecom and computer related experience I have is from figuring out the network of the hospital that I was stationed at before our so-called government IT professionals could. I will probably be at about 35-40K in about a year.
