A buddy of mine just recently got a nice letter from Roadrunner Cable informing him that he used too much bandwith in a month, and they were going to charge him $10 per gig over a certain limit (I forget the exact number at the moment), or he could pay twice as much a month, get more bandwidth, but still if he goes over THAT, he has to pay the $10 a gig still. Lame!!! He switched to Earthlink about 1 hour later:)
But im kinda sad cause I use roadrunner and have yet to recieve said letter, but im sure it's coming...
They have been working on it since before Daikatana 1!!! Brought to you by 3dRealms!!! I hope I live long enough to see the release!!! MWAHHAHAHAHAHA LOL!!!! No really, bad idea:)
If anyone still had a good reason to use IE, I think that Firebird can/will clear that up. Loads fast like IE, form autocompletes, etc... and if it aint got it, someone will prolly write an extension that will! My new favorite browser 4 sure....
I think what the arcade industry could really use is an arcade that DOESN'T SUCK. Someone needs to get out there and make an arcade for gamers, not little kids and bystandards. Keep all the games fresh, and non sucky, add some variaty, and for god sakes, have a freakin tournament every now and then! Seems like most arcades nowdays are all cookie cutter. Granted, there's not much you can do with the theme of a bunch of big boxes with screens, but theres gotta be something! Put some crazy lights in there! Have a room in the back to just hang out and gloat over your deafeted enemies. Arcades are supposed to be social, make em social! Slap a bean bag in there and some Atari 2600 games! Or something....
Someday, I will be rich and will build my Hardcade... and the industry will be reborn. Gamers will flock from the four corners. How grand... (drifts away into fantasy land....)
Wow, considering all the settings that were tested, and the only improvment beyond 1% was the Clock Speed, seems like the rest of it was kinda a waste...
... or does Ken kinda come off as a big ass? I had no tolerance for anyone who didn't understand my goals. I thought of business as war. Sierra's employees were my soldiers and competitors were the enemy. If someone wanted to have fun at work, they should do so - but, not at Sierra. Go elsewhere.
I bet all the fun was Roberta's idea, and dude was the grumpy money guy. He doesn't even PLAY games for cryin out loud! Sry... I do love old Sierra games BTW, so im not tryin to be too cruel >:)
Although there was a gigantor amount of games shown at E3 this year, it didn't seem like there were any huge groundbreaking games shown, at least nothing that got websites' panties in a bunch. Lots of part 2's and 3's... Overall, though, lots of good showings. Here are some of the games I thought stood out: (Besides the obvious HL2, Doom3, etc..)
Evil Genious: Sounds really good. I have this wanna-be-evil bug in me since Dungeon Keeper, and this looks to fill it. Although it would be nice to see a villian game minus the humor. I wanna be a serious evil genious!
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time: Big fan of the original, so I hope the new one does it justice. Although the remaking old games trend is wearing a bit thin, this one seems rather exceptional.
Sam & Max: Freelance Police: OMG! A new Sam and Max!!! This was one of my all time favorite PC Games back in the day, and the trailer for the new one seems to keep the same themes and witty banter that i've come to know and love (and randomly quote on a regular basis)(side note: new Full Throtle looks good too:)
Star Ocean:Till the End of Time: Gotta give respect to the non-SquareNix RPG's showing. This game looks especailly promissing. I played the previous Star Ocean, and liked it, but this game seems to be bringing the series a bit more up to date. The real-time battle system sounds pretty good, and graphics are great! Definatly one to watch for RPGamers.
CUSTOM ROBO!!!: Big Robots. You build em. Fighting! *drooool*
Tony Hawk Underground: Hrm... could be really cool, or could be GTA with skateboards... Although I was really curious when I read 'create-a-trick' mode! WTF! Could be really cool. Must have Online mode though!!! Plus it's acronym is THUG... sweet...
River City Ransom EX: YESYESYES!!! River City Ransom was THE BEST Nes game! Hands down! Nothing equates to the sheer pleasure derived from beating enemies sensless with a body at like 30 times a second! FWAPFWAPFWAP!
Well those are some titles I thought deserved some more attention. I left out some obvious choices (FF Tactics Adv, MGS3 + TS, etc...) but those games will rule as well.
Well, since most of the game comes from the N64 version, you can pretty much be sure (unless Rare REALLY screws up) that the gameplay will be there. Especially if the Single player is just a graphics update. The 64 Conker was one of the best 64 games ever, not even considering the extrordinarraly (sp?) funny content. They could have made Conkers Nice and Friendly Fur Day and it still would have been fun.
To funny... If you watch the Spooky Bot Around Town video on their website, there is a scene that is just like the part in Short Circut where Johny 5 is in the bookstore! LOL!
Ok i guess this robot doesn't trash the place...
Or get the cops called on him...
And he's wearing a Spooky Bot Costume...
nevermind...:(
If only you could adjust the analog sensetivity to extreme levels. Im a twitch FPS player, and taking more that a few micro-seconds to do a 180 is unacceptable!
Doh i guess i have a serious reply...

I remeber seeing a story (either/. or techtv) about charging wireless devices using a little pad. All you had to do was set it on top, and it somehow charged the battery. I suppose you could just slap all the bots on one of them. Prolly wouldn't need a whole lot of power either...

They are locked into a perpetual state of EATING each other for power! Canabalnanobot!
War nanobots! Wouldn't it be great if nations of the future duked it out with nanites! War on a petri dish! We could paint little numbers on their backs... Huzzah!
After watching the Sims 2 trailer, it looks like they are finally focusing on what gamers want... more sims pr0n. Passing down your genes = Nice Excuse!

I, for one, am glad Square is trying to take some diffrent spins on their games. A Final Fantasy that has a non-dark-and-gloomy story? Sign me up! And I also don't see a problem with the all female cast >:)
I'm also pretty pumped about Unlimited Saga. Woah, they actually realized the only people that will buy this game ARE hardcore! Let's make the game accordingly! ROCK ON!!!
The real kicker is the word 'Advertisement' at the top right >:)
