    Exacally. I have had 2 compaq laptops and they are in the shop being repaired almost more that they are in use by me. The one nice thing that Compaq does have is a great warenty and return policy, however, I would never buy a compaq system, and would think even harder about buying one designed for gaming, especially considering that i dont know a single person who hasnt had to have their compaq pc worked on atleast once. Plus for that price I could build a hell of a better computer.

    A long time ago. Red hat 7.2 I think. Sure, it was hard at first, but I was just preparing for the futrue when this happened.

    Lets just assume that each book has say...500 pages. Now, thats 500 million pages to be scanned, even moving at the rate of a page a second, the equates to roughly 951 years.

    Hmmm...I can just imagine that conversation with the people I go to see it with...yeah..were gonna go see a NC-17 movie, based on a cartoon, but its still really cleaned up. I dont see how it can go below that w/o betraying the original series, but I can say one good thing about it. They will have to dumb downt eh plot enought for most people to understand it, and then maybe, just maybe I will have one clue as to what the hell happened in the end.

    Actully I thought the idea behind /. was an open exchange of ideas. So you are as guily as he is. Will linux replace M$? Maybe, maybe not. Sure its more powerful crashes less....all that crap. But on a fundamental level, there is no reason to swich over to it if all you use a computer for is to surf the internet. Or do your taxes. Hell, good luck getting most tax software to word under linux. Wait, make that MOST software working under it. So shut up and go back to your cave. It may be better, but its not the way for most people.

    HAHA, um, where are all the lawmakers brains? Im thinking that there is a running bet going on right now as to if the entire US population can be put into jail for something or another. DMCA, Patriot I and II, RIAA Lawsuits...reminds me exacally why this is called the "Land Of The Free." On that note, anyone know how to go about setting up an independent state..you know..seceding from the USA? It nearly worked for the south....

    So they are sueing people for spam, yet the majority of spam I get is from an AOL account. So does this mean that they are going to sue themselves out of existance. The world can only hope.
