woops. you're right. I went from Netscape 7.01 to 7.02 and then to 7.2 just recently. But I also have Firebird installed on the computer. What 'commands' do you do most with mouse gestures? I use alt and the arrow keys to navigate when I don't want to use the buttons. ctrl S to save, ctrl b for bookmarks, ctrl n for a new window. I think thats all that I use.
i just upgraded my computer with a new motherboard the other day and found out Usb 2.0 on Win XP required SP1 to be installed. My motherboard is an Abit nf7-s.
It's not just about australia its about your rights online. Since spam infringes on everyones privacy and its not just restricted to Australia this is relevant news for everyone. Furthermore, this spam bill, good or bad can be adopted/improved on by other nations wanting to fight spam.
Same here. I had older clients on all my computers. (All I need is it for is to chat. I dont care about filesharing, voice etc). Anyway I just downloaded the patch on my faster computer but on my slower ones I'll migrate them to aim. strange thing is after I installed the update from m's site (and did the necessary reboot) the ad window still doesn't show.
About a month or two ago they dropped support for the old icq protocol. I still havent updgraded yet because the comp that had icq 99 is too weak to run the latest client.
They way I see it, if they lock me out I drop my support for them. msn mesenger wont let me log on on their official client today and I can't be bothered using d/l it again so I'm just going to stick with aol for now.
Mozilla slow to load? Not trying to troll or anything but Mozilla (firebird) renders pages much more quickly than IE. Its one of its strongest strengths (pop up/ad blocking is the other).
Can you give an example of a search engine, msn or not, that gives more fruitful results? Otherwise the things you're looking for (I did the family guy search using different keywords) might not exist which might be why googles not returning any good hits.
I have the IBM Model M and whenever folks come over the first remark I get when they sit behind my comp is not about my monitor or the case, its my keyboard and its solid steel top and the clickity clack it gives when pressed. If I could I would buy another but that yahoo site someone gave below has it for US$60! way too much for someone like me living outside of the U.S.
yea I was so disappointed. I already have one of those keyboards but the honeywell on my other comp is acting up so it would've been nice to have another IBM to replace it.
I used to get all my shareware there, many many years ago. Now thers places like Aarnet and planet mirror that are faster and dont make you have to make dozens of clicks just to get the file you want.
so long as theres competition I don't think microsoft have much room to move here. both sony and nintendos systems are sold above cost so only ms loses out when people buy the system for anything other than games.
thats not the point. MS got their monopoly in the browser market by bundling the browser with the OS. Most people are too lazy to go download an alternative and just stick with what they have already.
and btw, if you had the beta copy of WinNT 5 and you went to Netscape.com IE would have given you the message 'you shouldnt be here'.

You use that? That is one of the first things I disable after installing the program. :)
In the next release Firebird will be renamed Mozilla and have Thunderbird (the mail client) integrated into it.
the thing I hate about credit card verifications is it lets an unscrupulous site operator do whatever he wants with your info if he so wishes.
6:23pm +10 GMT and its still not working. :(

When I read that I saw 'Jurassic Park' and thought they were doing the fourth installment.
They can just make it the "default" search in IE
Isn't msn search the default search engine for ie now?

hmm...
Using the same search words, the first 15 results included:
google sucks
optimizing for msn
why dsl still sucks
yahoo messenger sucks
Either msn search engine is seriously stuffed or the results are rigged... lalalala
yes, 6 is last stand alone version of IE.
linkage
It just appears less sucky because the better product has been starved out or assimiliated.

Not to mention that China just a much a victim of the Mongols as well.

My livejournal site gets a full page in Google search.
you can try it here: livejournal test server
:)
You get the full privileges of a paid account to test out which is better than opening a free account on the main servers to test.
Only disadvantage with the test server is your account could be purged anytime but that shouldn't be a worry if you're just testing how things work.
