Sense is slick - but I switched to CM6 ( Cyanogen Mod 6.00, an Android Open Source Project based rom ) and was surprised that I didn't really miss anything that Sense had given me. I had already switched away from the very nice weather/clock widget because its weather was not very current and everything else is nearly equivalent.
( Sprint HTC Hero, not the newest/fastest phone but very snappy with CM6 and only slight overclocking )
It isn't just the Eris, the HTC Hero does the same things since the 2.1 update.
I wonder if it is happening to other models - I have only been following the Hero forums to see if there is any fix before I update to 2.1.
I guess that was inevitable with last week's story about rat-batteries:
http://slashdot.org/submission/1240590/Scientists-Implant-Biofuel-Cells-Into-Rats
but I'd be worried about the size of the thing, and having to carry plastic bags to pick up after your Pandora console.
Maybe it's based on one of the tiny pocket-sized dogs?
"It would be similarly suspicious if someone went out of their way to use the store exit that didn't have the RFID tag sensors, but ONLY after being told that exit didn't have them."
Wait, that is perfectly acceptable. If selecting that exit is considerecd either a crime, or something worth detaining and searching me over, then I would never visit that store again and I would make sure to encourage others not to visit it either.
All these posts and I don't see one askin gwhere to get 'pyrimethamine' to rid themselves of the parisite. I guess it is firmly in controll around here!
and measures the size of a large fridge.
Cool! Lasers have been used for measurement before, but I bet this is the first time the military has been able to measure your fridge in your kitchen from 20,000 feet. The small hole in the kitchen ceiling is a small price to pay for this protection from oversize fridges.
Sprint offered a $60 rebate on their pcs phones, and I bought two. I might have forgotten about the rebate when the information came in the mail, but a year later I started looking at the old statments to see if it had ever been applied. Nothing....
I called their customer support and they told me that the rebate program had expired. I was prepared to yell but they continued with "so I'll talk to my supervisor and see what we can do". In a minute the supervisor came on the line and promised to get the check in the mail the next day.
"I'll give you my Doritos when you pry them from my cold, dead hands!"
You mean your cold, dead, deliciously orange-stained hands.
It's not exactly new. (And I have a server from 2001
Cool, will it do that "I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that. " line for you whenever you want?
Cause I'd be yelling about pod bay doors all day long if it will.

The battery is a dog (10+ hours of gaming),

So you live underwater? Cool!
No, I am sure they can manage all three: high speed, high efficiency, high cost. No problem.

It also keeps me from _reading_ the preview copy for obvious typos.
Must... not... press.... submit....
What about the zombie fish? You will be fighting them off day and night.

( Futurama. I know I blow it by telling, but... )
> Mate, your question makes about as much sense as asking "How long is a piece of string?"
Wait, I have one in the drawer here. About 3 feet.
Dude, that's just sick. Bury her already.

In a week I had my check for $120!
